Harad Fortress Expansion Suggestions

08 November 2010 - 12:36 AM

As the goal is to eventually split Harad from Rhun, the Harad faction will need its own fortress which means it will also need expansions for the fortress. So if you have any ideas for what might make a good expansion to the Harad fortress feel freee to post them here. Please try and keep on track with this thread. Just for expansion ideas ;)

W3d Viewer Question

01 January 2010 - 09:11 PM

G'day to all

I am making a few models for the S.E.E. Mod and whenever I send the models back to S.E.E. I can view them with no problem in the w3d viewer but they can't see anything on their w3d viewer. It's the same when S.E.E. send stuff to me. They can see it on their w3d viewer but I can't see it on my w3d viewer.

Has anybody come up against this problem before?

Kind regards for any information

I was talking with some of the guys the other day about debt and money in general. We sarted to compare the lives our grandfathers had compared to us now. We all agreed that they were damn hard workers and had practicaly none of the conveniences that we have today.

That being said we saw our grandfathers working hard for years to save up and buy themselves a car. Some of them still have that same car and still have it working on the roads.

Us on the other hand we save up for years to get a car and fifteen years later that car breaks down and we have to save up again to buy another car. Doing this 4-5 times throughout our lifetime. Yes we make more money than our grandfathers did but we are also saving up and paying for the same item numerous times. So who was actually ahead at the end of the day? Our Grandparents by a mile unfortunately

We applied this same train of thought to many other things like Tv's ( my grandmother still has her first black and white tv and it still picks up a channel or two, What the!! :) ) fridges, beds, washing machines etc.

We started getting a little depressed after that so we went and grabbed some drinks at this point

:p

Aaaaaaaaaaaand we're back So to continue we all boiled it down to the big corporate machine that worked out years ago that if they make a product with less quality they can sell it for the same price but it will break down and force the consumer to give them more $$$$$ for the same product, thereby making them more $$$$ and making us waste more time working again and saving again for a product that we have already worked and saved for.

Apply this to the video game industry and your in for a world of hurt. Starts off good you can buy a console, two controllers and a built in game. Fast forward a couple of years and you can buy a console and one controller. Fast forward again and buy a console and one controller and you need memory cards. Again and it's a console that needs memory cards and a controller that needs to be recharged and to a 5 year old that means that his console breaks every few days. Try explaining recharge to a 5 year old, not good ;) . And the added addition of the internet connection to the console which cost more $$$.

Add onto that the latest intenet connection to the consoles which although is good for online play is also allowing console games to be like their PC cousins and allows games developers to release unfinished or bug infested games which might be fixed with possible patches through connection to the internet.

And we talked about all the big goverment get togethers about climate control and the enviroment on the news lately and immidiatley thought about the corporate industry and quality of products. Would we be making so much waste on this planet if we were buyng products that wouldn't break down? Hell no!! How many car scrap yards have you seen in your life? 5-10 maybe? how many would you have seen if those cars were made to last like our grandfathers did? half that maybe?

Depressing right? :p ;)

Well here's the kicker. If our granparents bought one car in their lifetime and we buy around 4 in ours, what is it going to be like in our childrens times or even grandchildrens times.

Me, I'm telling them to wallk :p
