Not remove the ability, remove the derricks.
The idea is that you don't have much money (I'm trying to design the campaigns around that), so don't be stupid.

Mastermind and I have talked about this. We're considering removing the derricks and having things like "Tax Centers" to gain money like the Black Market.

Generals is patched and the defcon installer works fine, BUT when the game starts other then the skirmish option, the solo options are in gray and i cannot sellect them

Yeah, but still I don't quite see the nations uniting to be the factions they are in Defcon.
All this and more can be found out in the storyline I wrote for the mod. Its Staff-only currently, but once we perform any necessary tweaks, you can see for yourself how the world turns this way.
