I haven't gotten a chance to suggest him reinstalling the patch for the game.dat yet.  Off the top of your head, could any other things that could cause that problem, just in case that doesn't work either?  We have both played with other people just not with each other.

I mean, I've only seen a total of 2 lobbies I cannot join out of more than a dozen lobbies I have joined without issue.  Not sure how much he has played, with others, but he claims to have played with others some.

Any way for me to check that?  I followed all the steps on http://t3aonline.net/bfme1/ when I first installed 1.06

Should I reinstall the patch?

*edit* I reinstalled the patch from the t3aonline site, still no luck.
