Sarah Palin is a neanderthal
01 October 2008 - 08:36 PM
The first one is the best...I love Jack Cafferty. Anyways, if you have seen this woman speak I dont see how any sane person could vote for this ticket, it is absolutely terrifying that this women could be in control of the greatest military and nuclear force on the planet. So I ask this...are there any McCain supporters on revora (I think hostile may be one...cant quite remember) that can tell me in all honesty that they will vote for this ticket on November 4th. If so, I need to recommend you get a mental evaluation.
Btw, I can't wait for the debate...Joe Biden is going to kick some ass.
Dear American

Dear American:
I need to ask you to support an urgent secret business relationship with a transfer of funds of great magnitude.
I am Ministry of the Treasury of the Republic of America. My country has had crisis that has caused the need for large transfer of funds of 700 billion dollars US. If you would assist me in this transfer, it would be most profitable to you.
I am working with Mr. Phil Gramm, lobbyist for UBS, who will be my replacement as Ministry of the Treasury in January. As a Senator, you may know him as the leader of the American banking deregulation movement in the 1990s. This transaction is 100% safe.
This is a matter of great urgency. We need a blank check. We need the funds as quickly as possible. We cannot directly transfer these funds in the names of our close friends because we are constantly under surveillance. My family lawyer advised me that I should look for a reliable and trustworthy person who will act as a next of kin so the funds can be transferred.
Please reply with all of your bank account, IRA and college fund account numbers and those of your children and grandchildren to wallstreetbailout@treasury.gov so that we may transfer your commission for this transaction. After I receive that information, I will respond with detailed information about safeguards that will be used to protect the funds.
Yours Faithfully Minister of Treasury Paulson
I dont take credit for writing this, but I found it somewhere on the web and I found it hilarious.
But in all seriousness, I think this whole Wall Street conundrum is a perfect example of the stupidity that is the conservative ideology. We live in a society that cannot function without regulation. Power and money is too concentrated in the hands of too few. This basically means the dumb and greedy actions of a few investors can control the economic state of the whole country. The people need to have a stake in whats happening in whats happening above there heads. The people should be represented by their governement, and therefore more government regualtion is needed.
But now that you conservative thinkers have gotten yourselves into this mess, what do I think you should do about it? Honestly I have no idea.
Its just one giant clusterfuck. If the government lets these banks go bankrupt, money dissapears into a hole. If they bail out the banks, they have to borrow more money from China and dig their own financial grave even deeper. Its funny how Reagan started this whole enormous government debt thing...only for it to be slightly repaired by Clinton, and then re-started by Bush II.
Well let me tell you something America...you will recieve no pity from me. While I sit up here under the protection of my strong government (though it will likely not last much longer...maybe only 'til October 14th), you are crashing and burning under the weight of your "free market". Congratulations.
McCain's Running Mate!

McCain/MILF '08
Thats right, McCain has made his pick, and its Sarah Palin.
Though I previously thought that Palin would be one of McCains best picks, after it actually happened and I started thinking more about it, Ive realized that she is a much bigger risk than I realized.
She has only had 20 months of experience in an office higher than that of the mayor of a town of 9000 people. With McCain's age, do you really want someone with zero time on any national stage to be a heartbeat away from controlling the worlds largest military and nuclear arsenal....If people actually think about that, I think it will scare them. Not to mention McCain can real no longer attack Obama for lack of experience.
Another thing this pick may do is actually piss off Hillary Clinton supporters. They know Palin was deffinately not the most qualified candidate for the vice presidency, and they know that the only reason McCain picked her was because of her sex. This idea goes against what Hillary stands for, and I think it will encourage Hillary to campaign even more agressively for Obama.
Compared to Hillary, who actually worked her ass off to "crack the glass ceiling" for women in america, Sarah Palin will look like just a pretty face picked to gain some easy votes.
Not to mention she supports abstinence only education, while her 17 year old daughter gets pregnant...I read a joke somewhere that they should name the baby "Wrapya Johnson"
She has now hired a layer with state money to defend her against accusations that she got a her brother-in-law fired after he divorced her sister.
All this controversy is really taking away the whole appeal of the first woman vice president.
I didn't actually see her big speech last night, so I wont comment on it, but I heard she was a pretty vicious attack dog.
Maybe its just my bias talking that`s changed my mind about Palin, but either way I hope this backfires for McCain.
