First of all, awesome work. I agree with the person who said before that this is how a mod should be (can't be bothered to go all the way back in the topic and find it :p ). I am downloading this mod, and becuase I havent visited T3A for a while since i've been busy with CNC3, I failed to notice this project but it is really amazing the things you are doing. Thank you Nazgul and the SEE team :)

I have a couple suggestions and comments: You mentioned that you hated the way that units always stood so far apart form each other when they fought? This is one of the main things that I have always wished could be improved. It's actually one of the main reasons why i'm downloading this.

Anyway, I think that you should try to add more Haradrim Archers in the Mumakil's 'roof.' It's not much, but it would help make the mumakil more deadly like they are shown in the films. Also, this may be overpowering them a bit much, but increase their speed, because in ROTK the Mumakil are shown running at high speed towards the Rohirrim.

One more thing: I think that you should decrease the space between the units in the orc hordes, and possibly the uruk-hai hordes. I think that that would make them appear more army-like, more formidable, and just really better.

And also, I have an offer. I don't know if you already have a Gondor soldier/archer/spearman/whatever skin, but if you need them you can always use my Gondor units skins that I made when I modeled at T3A.

You guys have done so much great work here I will do anything I can to help out, so feel free to use anything you want of mine.

Gondor soldier screenie: And oh, it's only 32 more polies than the original. Texture looks great up to and including 256x256.

And a non-armored Boromir:

I don't want to clog up your thread with renders, so just PM me if you want some more unit options (i have much more).

I really appreciate how good your work is here and thanks for making my next hour and a half so much fun playing your mod :w00t: .

Oh, and I don't want too much (really any at all) attention on my skins, i don't want to take any focus off your mod. But thank you Lotrfan2 for your nice comment ;) .

Don't you just love it when the staff posts something useful? :w00t:

Excellent skins! I love the boromir, expecially! Please, clog up the thread! :p

The mumakil would actually be kindof useful with more than, what is it, 5(?) archers. It would increase its relativitly weak defense, as the archers really don't cause that much damage in the first place. It wouldn't be much of a difference in its attack or defense, but it would make it look more like the city it should be.

Oh yah, Naz, this answers the "anything else" thingy in the other thread. (the Goblins drummers). They look great!

HOLY... ;) SMOKES!!! ;)

I thought I was a pretty decent skinner, being an artist for 15 years or something like that... but this... this.. this is just AAAWWWEEESSSOOOMMMEEE :w00t: :) ;)

So, even though you used the wrong thread  who cares when you post this! This is like stickin a big ice cream in the face of a 5 yo and asking, do you want it? YES, we wants it! :p

I'll PM you MW, cause I have some more questions for you... AND PLEASE note that Beta III is like a spoon full of dog pooh in comparison to Beta IV that is on the way... Just the fact that I didn't know AI then, so the only AI in there is left from the basic mod ;) But thanks to Cahik and Robnkarla I can now AI code everything, so Beta IV has it... Then there's the Mordor walls that are quite unique to this mod, thanks to FlameGuard that did the re-mapping, and LOADS of other stuff... so stay tuned for that rel before you say to many kind words (so we can hope for more, lol). Well, keep posted for the PM :evgr:

Now, on to some updates...

As promised - Isengard now have WildMen of Dunland as an early game recruitable unit, much in the same way Mordor have Corsairs of Umbar. They are slighly "weaker" than Corsairs, but they're still good and the Pillage is a great ability that gives +3 resources =)
They can also use HA upgrade which gives them bits and pieces of chain mail... and naturally they have the Torches for extra melee damage (and setting units aflame), plus Banner Carrier off course. (I can't understand why EA left these guys as summons only?). FInally I polished their skins so the HA really looks like chain mail when zoomed in ^_^

As thier "barracks" I gave them a cool tent with the White Hand on top. It's called "Dunland Tent" and I also gave it damage skins with actual holes that enables see through when badly damaged :xd:

That's it for today in screens (The strings is the part that really takes time actually, since they're so booring, lol)

Thanks! I hope you will like it as much as we do! ;) As Nazgûl already mentionend, Beta III and IV will be quite different.

...

Will be tested.

Formations spacing is also in the limited(testing), but this will probably be a part from the final workover for Beta V.

...
And also, I have an offer. I don't know if you already have a Gondor soldier/archer/spearman/whatever skin, but if you need them you can always use my Gondor units skins that I made when I modeled at T3A.

That's an awefully kind offer! Thanks! :w00t: :p

Yes, in both screens they have HA, I had to hurry up before the enemy came and crushed me... hehe. I only build the tent and the armory and upgraded them, then two squads of Gondor soldiers came and sliced them up :p And people still complain about the game being slow *thinking about the annyoing EA forum* :)

But before that... I have a teaser from Sûl's latest work on SEE :p

Here's an early glimpse of the new Inn function, this is for MotW, and the idea is that all factions will have a slightly different setup of availably mercenaries to hire... :)

Hehe yes Bruno, probably, those are the best quality skins and models I've ever seen, well at least amongst the best and Master Windu's offer is really appreciated. The only "problem" is that if I use Bormir for instance, it would recuire the same upgrade quality for the others, so we'll see where this ends. I'm also worried about lag...

And the Hobbit icon will get a new look eventually :)

Goblin Drummer: Awesome dude!

Wildmen: Niiiicccee....

New Inn Function: I like it, but perhaps, if this isn't already done, make it so foreign units cost more then usual, just makes sense.

Hehe nah, the list is "ready" but prett scattered all over, I'll try and compile it this week and post asap. The actual rel of BetaIV will be posponed maybe an extra week or so though cause of all the things we want to put in it... :)

Capnastro: Thanks man, and yes, that is another of the ideas regarding this thing. They will all be more expensive than their counterparts in each faction (Since we imagine they might be slightly reluctant to "work" for another race, but they're hard boiled mercenaries, so for the right amount, they'll join :p They will also take slightly longer to recruit (they have to be persuaded, lol) hehe. AND they will be limited to 1 horde each (3 for Hobbits though)...

Matias: It wont? I thought higher poly count and more high res textures did that? :s But I hope you're right =)

Limited to a certain amount? How does your logic come to that conclusion?
