no, more like n artillery shell with an opening animation. Dawn of war has a perfect example... the orbital relay calls troops in on drop pods.

Yeah that would be cool BUT very difficult to make ! It is something far away from this engine ! But it can be done if someone has plenty of time !!!!! ^_^ You need this for the Mechs ? If yes i say that a big hangar like the door of the warfactory resized would fit very very well ! :cool:

EDIT: Pendaelose see if you can take any model from the "cnc Under Siege" (it is on the revora) It has many good units ! Also it has the F16 and the F15 ! Also the J13 chineese plane (it is very very beatifull) Viators jas-grippen is very good also ! If you need any other model try the site that master yoda gave you, something like : "anus_panda (like that) it has a link on the "gla assault" thread... Try this link it has a lot of good stuff !

Hey creator instead of giving the us air the buildable paradrop wouldnt it be better if the china infantry gen had acess to it.

actualy the curent plan is to give the DropPod to Cybr to replace the para drop.

And its actualy very easy in the engine. theres nothing out of the norm, its just a differnt use of standard bahviors and OCLs

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Thats the plan. In th end its what works best for everybody. I probobly could have rushed out a copy of Remix3 before Contra04 was ready, but it wouldn't be half as good as if it didn't include everything from Contra4 plus my changes... more changes, more better

how about deleting the support planes for airforce general
and give him instead a E-3 Sentry (AWACS)

the E-3 is a modified boeing 707 with a large radar dish mounted on it.

the options of it ingame can be
1. detect enemy stealth units and have a big radius
2. distrupt enemy radars so aircraft which are close to the E-3 will be stealth :dry:
3 and have an ecm field so radar guided rockets will miss :ohmy:

thats what I originaly wanted to give as the model for the ECM plane.

I've not started working on it yet, but I've been thining alot about trying differnt things to remodel the 2 support planes.

Great mod.
General
Would it be possible to impliment the guard unit/building function from the pro:gen mod? I think this feature should be standard on all mods, even unmodded generals/zerohour. old school C&C style baby!
All generals to start with a unit that can clear radiation/toxins.

GLA
Defences and units which do not cause an enemy to drop salvage crate. Could this be fixed?
All units to have an effect from picking up salvage (amour or gun upgrade)

Stealth general
Theres something missing assault and defence wise with these guys. If you add more stealth detecting units like you say, they'll have even more problems.
maybe allow for a quick build tunnel network? (like in unpatched zero hour)
Also I would suggest allowing the hijackers at level 3 instead of 5.
I don't think the stealth generals Jarmen kell detects stealth, i would enable this.
I like the power link snipe, a real life saver!
How about allowing them the battle bus? (level 3 + palace) along with the gps that would add some much needed clout for defending the rocket buggy.
I'd also do an amour upgrade from salvage crates for the stealthed transport buggy.
Is there anyway to allow building of a captured dozer? Maybe make it so you can only build the stolen tech if your a 3 or 5 star general.

Assault general
Destroyer. Is it possible to allow this tank to pick up salvage, at the moment it pushes salvage crates to one side!

Demo general
Add an upgrade (level 3?) that stops terrorists from damaging each other if destroyed.
Make the destructive debris that results from the High explosive upgrade more consistant, at the moment it sometimes does not happen.

Chemical general
Can you make the rocket trucks anti-air rockets have a set range? at the moment they seem to have infinite range and also keep their lock even after a stealth bomber has cloaked. Or maybe slightly decrease the anti-air damage. Also remove their ground targeting ability or nerf the splash damage to infantary, of all the gla generals the chemical general needs this ability the least.
My favourite Gla general, splendid work!

USA
Cyber general
Needs beefing up, make the hell fire drone available from the begining
Also have a level 3 upgrade that allows units to have any combination of 2 support drones, instead of just the 1(for instance hellfire & spy).

Airforce
I know that other mods have this, but some kind of little bird style helicopter that allows 4 units to shoot outside from it.
A very well balanced side!

Laser

Super weapon
Needs more beefing up at level 1, allow the patriots to retain their emp ability from the start.

China
Remove the huge ground range for gattling type add ons. they can out range normal base defences and no infantry unit (except snipers with tank fighting upgrades) can get close enough to get a shot off. The fact that it is such effective anti-air too. If it had the gattling tanks ground range, it'd be all good.

Infantry
Miner's nuke brief case should have the same deployment time has burtons/etc charges, at the moment its just to dam quick!, especially for what it does.
Increase super lotus vehicle disable speed.
Add an ability for super lotus to take over a vehicle!
slight distance increase (25%?) for super lotus abilities.
A really great general!, what great units!

Tank
Remove magnectic bomb skill. The tank general has the best ecm unit in the game, it does not really need this ability so late in the game.
Would it be too much trouble to have mini gauss guns instead of gattling guns for tank based add-ons?
Another well balanced side!

Flame
Remove satilite hack III.
Helix bombs: they never hit the target for me, they miss power plants completely.
Very powerful general (hence why i'd remove hack III).

Nuke
The amount of time that the radiation stays on the ground should be less. The current time should be available via level 5 upgrade, like the chemical generals concentrates upgrade.
Make the nuke hunter more vunerable to radiation fields (Pre anti-radiation upgrade).
retaliator is too good, adding seige weapons to all teams at start will probably solve this.

doesn't the stealth gen already has that in the form of GPS scramble. besides vehical disguise is stupid especially considering that you will be playing against intelligent people who can make out the difference.

I'll think about it.

Not all generals supposed to clean toxins and radiation. Toxins are really dangerous for infantry general, so he have toxin cleaning infantry. Cyber and tank generals are not so sensitive to this so they should not have cleaning units.

Yes, I'll check it and fix.

Very complex to implement. I think not all units should be upgradable with salvage.

Stealth general

Stealth general is already powered up. Increased power of scorpinos, partizans and snipers. Hijacker need rank 3 as well. And there is also a number of other changes.

It is not his style. Stealth general need hit-&-run units. Battle Bus is medium assault unit.

Do not use mobs of terrorists. Use them accuratively by sending them to targets from different directions.

Good idea, but I afraid it is impossible to code it. I wil try, but Generals have limitations and some things can not be made.

Overpower. She can gain bonus from Strategy Center in the begining and have defenses training skill. Also defenses can gain experience like units. It is enough.

What are you about? I never changed their range. It is equal to one in normal Zero Hour.

But I think nuke hunter should not be more vunerable to radiation. His current armor is ok.

Yeah flame needs this superweapon... And that for superweapon gen (about the emp) nooooo way it will over over over power him ! Stealth gen needs some refresh and some units that can hit from a long range and inflict good damage

I have some good ideas to refresh and balance the game :
1st : “Samaritan”
A repair mech for robot gen which has a two hands with engineering stuff, that repairs one single mech but very fast, with an propaganda tower add on that slowly repairs nearby mechs, this unit will replace the already existing one that does nothing !!! I built three of them for one single tank hunter ! This repairer mech will be very good !
2nd : “Eagle”
A plane hunter mech for robot gen that has rockets like the already existing avenger with one cannon which fires flak and one other small cannon which fires point defense laser (it is almost like the cyber avenger but with flak [and it’s a mech!])
3rd : “StormBlade”
A heavy tank for laser gen that has two laser crusader cannons but reduced range and the main weapon is a cannon that works like the shaitan, in the beginning it fires small laser bolts and as it keeps firing it fires faster and faster !!! It also has the armor and the life of an emperor. This is a very good idea for a heavy tank for laser gen, it solves the problem of a heavy tank with smaller cost than a super unit ! Or it can be placed like an secondary superunit that works along with the omega cannon….
4th : “Jagdpanther”
The Viator’s jagdpanther for assault gen that has in the beginning a good cannon and at high lvl it has an upgrade (at the black-market) that gives it High explosive shells or Depleted uranium shells ! The upgrade is only for the jagdpanther no other unit takes this upgrade (or maybe the destroyer!) Oh and it does nothing to infantry…
5th : “Sha-Yu”
A super troopcrawler that carries 10 infantry it has life as shaitan has with a range bonus to his garrisoned troops ! Also it has an add on that builds on top of the tank a small neutron cannon or a large propaganda tower !
6th : “Sa 6 gainful”
A replacement of the quad tank of gla assault. A triple anti air rocket launcher that works like the quad tank but with the model of the sa 6 (3 rockets on top) Also it has longer range ! Or if this cannot be done then a remake of the quad tank that cuts the cannons and place in their positions four rockets !!!
7th : “Apollo”
A humvee for superweapon gen that has very good array of weapons like : two anti tank beams combined with an armor piercing rockt launcher (tow missile but better)
It will be a tank smasher but it will have the life of a humvee (one shot of a tank and it is turned too smoke !!!) and it will be as fast as humvee ! I think that superweapon will need this, this is a very good solution to make superweapon gen build a good army, cause only with superweapons he cannot win ! I know he has the powerfull defenses but he needs something ground based to fight (he has the patriot tank but he will fight better the other generals with this humvee !)
8th : “Scrapped Hind”
A hind that is rebuilded with scrap metals, for assault gen... it will fire a barrage of rockets at close range (small damage but a lot of rockets) It solves the air solution provlem of the professional gla army !
9th : “X-45a”
The fighter ucav for robot gen, an interceptor (replace of the x-jet) that can engage only air targets ! Small cost (for its size) but the damage of an normall interceptor !
“X-47a”
The bomber ucav for robot gen, it replaces the stealth (all the specifications of robot gen’s stealth but with this model !)
10th : “Jas 39-Grippen”
The Viators model for Laser gen the replacement of aurora ! Or for superweapon gen the replacement of f22 !!!

I have a lot of ideas but those are my favorite ones !!! I hope you gonna like them !





And something else , These are few more ideas that will make it better :

1st : The apache must be the tank killer, the one that kills tanks in very long distances, cause Comanche project was not to have immensive power but to be stealth ! Although the project stopped due to long price cost… So exchange the weapons of these two heli’s of robotgen

2nd : Try to take the “maus” model from the “Blitzkrieg 2” mod, to make a heavy tank for the gla… As an alternative choice of the destroyer maybe !

3rd I saw one mod called “Half-Hour” and it has something very cool for the Americans, it has a twin barreled paladin ! I suggest that this tank should perfectly fit to Laser gen as an heavy tank !

3rd And I found a model of an awacs at “cold war crisis” mod !!! Pendaelose don’t know if you have an access to those mods so they can give you the models, but I hope so… The model is called : A50

4th Both at “cold war crisis” and “half hour” have trucks (urals) for supply trucks, if you have access as I said before take one of the trucks and make it an gla assault gen supply truck !

6th : “Apollo”
The humvee that i said before, I have new idea for it, take the humvee of the robot gen and make it fire it from the cannon a laser crusader beam and from the rocket pods emp armor piercing expert at destroying tanks missiles ! It will have the armour and the speed of an normal humvee and it will cost about 1000 or maybe 1200 (On Pendaelose version…!)

7th “Contaminator”
A super unit for gla poison, it some way copies the devastator of the assault but don’t see it like this, the model should be the M3 (smaller than the devastator, small amount of armor) It will fire from the smaller turret toxics, from the middle one it will fire a mortar style grenade that when it impacts it pollutes the ground ! And from the big cannon the one that is not in a tower it is in the front of the tank, it will fire an extraordinary shell, that when it impacts to the target it will do good damage, but the good one is that it will leave an acid that burns even a shaitan’s armor in a small amount of time its disantvantage (of the large cannon) is that it can do nothing to planes (so does the whole tank !) very small range (170 or 180 !!!) and high reload time….

If the twin barreled paladin cannot be included, then a paladin butchered with two laser crusader cannons in its sides like this :

And as for the artillery of the gla assault here is a good suggestion, butcher any tanks base and put marauders or mammoth resized (bigger) turret on the top, finally put a thin but very very large cannon ! It will look like this :

i think the cyber avenger is fine, i can be stealth and ambush any plane and to detect stealth, you can upgrade it with a spy drone, which has flashbangs on it

I pretty sure the troop crawler idea is added, but i don't know if i has addons or the health amout, the rocket quad tank sounds cool but i don't like the gainful cuz that thing is just anti-air, and the missiles on that thing are huge.

the hind will be added, pendaelose is working on getting the model

i like the dual barreled paladin, since "paladin is Laser general's main battle unit" in creator's version, it would be a nice heavy armored tank

What ? A flash bang ? Form where i didnt see any grenade launched from the drone ! As for the eagle mech, i know that the avenger is good, but a mech is better to the whole idea !

The super troopcrawler is very good idea but i think that it is very difficult to make it (not as model, but as purpose of the tank) I think that it must be as the battlefortress of the RA2 Yuris Revenge ! I meant twin laser crusader beams and a ptrk rocket (sturm-s) that kills tanks like no other jeep ! I liked the milan rocket ! It can penetrate any armor ! And it will be used against tanks !

What ? A flash bang ? Form where i didnt see any grenade launched from the drone ! As for the eagle mech, i know that the avenger is good, but a mech is better to the whole idea !

Um... OK. I think somebdy had a little to much sugar.

I can't endorse the ultimate humvee plan... SuperWeapon is lacking in ground asaullt on pupose.

you know, I'm not sure I've ever seen a srone pop a flashbang either, but they do go to town with some TOW missles.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

i swear the spy drone can fire something that has a flashbang explosion, take a look at it...i think i saw it creator does it have the weapon?
