The only evil in religion comes from extremists who take its precepts too far. God may not agree with homosexuality, but I hardly doubt he would condone persecution and murder of such. Most extremists views shit on everything Christianity stands for.

I really have no idea what to do with these type of people. If I were to actually meet them, as much as I hate to admit it, I'd probably have one of those fun assault charges to deal with. The version of the Bible I have is a very good one. It actually says that most things before the Exodus shouldn't be taken too seriously as historical, and that the creation in seven days is a metaphore (sp?), not a real event. It also says when every part is written, and by who (even if that's often impossible to determine) i.e., it doesn't say God wrote the Bible.

I saw something about a gay-rehabilitation camp on TV yesterday, it was just too horrible. Parents didn't love their kids because they were homosexual, and so they were sent to camp to read the Bible to become less gay and such. Imagine what that does to your self-esteem...

What is up with these guys, it states in every major religion thou must not kill (not exactly the same words). Their hate simply spawns more hate... Just like a virus, it will spread and ruin everything unless someone breaks this cycle and refuses to hate, hence the teaching in the new testament that you should love your enemies, break the cycle of vilolence. These guys sicken me, and as much as I would like to see them be punished, thats not for anyone on earth i believe to do. Everyone is judged, one way or another. What goes around comes around.

I guess yours was written by the Prophets themselves. The point is that those who follow religions these days are, for the most part, grown-up enough to realise what a metaphor is.
They're also grown-up enough to realise 'each to his own'. If a guy want to go to bed with another guy, then it's a free country. So long as they both consent, who are they hurting?

The original texts were mostly from 1000 BC to 300 BC. I have no idea when my version was written, but it belonged to my uncle, so it could be as much as 30 years ago.

Fanatics are morons, all fanatics. Fighting and giving their life to a cause where there is no certainty it exists. Following a religion is fine, having faith in a religion is fine because it helps a person find their spirituality and morals, but dedicating your life to a religion even to the level you would give your life to it or HATE someone because of it is beyond sense. How can you HATE your own children? You know what, these people believe being gay isn't natural, so if that is the case, then it must have been their bad parenting skills that caused their children to become homosexual. I remember a quote, "love is always creative, hate is always destructive." Those who love a cause and respect human life will always find more creative methods of promoting that cause, those who hate those who are not with their cause only choose to be destructive, it never helps as it gives a destructive view of their cause.

No anyone who follows that site is a fascist and its my firm belief, those who take freedom away from others don't deserve freedom themselves. Again its not anyones position to judge people for who they are, there are far worst criminals in this world who are seen as successful just because they are rich and famous, and they are judged by who they are not what actions they take. Its a sad reality, and its even sadder that those who are fanatics would rather work to destroy innocent people and their minds rather than work with the people to destroy the corrupt systems that dominate us.
