Very impressive stuff. How do you cut up the meshes without using the slice tool on everything though?

Very impressive stuff. How do you cut up the meshes without using the slice tool on everything though?
It's ea's model, I just added an animation to it. And I'd assume EA would cut it then fill the holes in the cutted parts
