I have come to notice that people expect to clear every stage in a game. That demands a wide variety of skills for a wide variety of tasks.
It is like going for a Boss fight in Metal Gear Solid and expecting you to use CQC, Small Arms, Grenades, C4s, Missile Launchers, Camo with good proficiency.
Here, we have Base Building, Micromanagement, Hold the Line/Timer, Target Snipe, Controlled/Uncontrolled Target Escort, Puzzle.
And then, we have base-building missions that also require micromanagement.
If people are allergic to micromanagement missions, I am inclined to make a base building mission that makes Singularity seem easy (well, until Speeder smacks some senses back into me ).
I have a feeling Speeder won't touch Singularity because of the huge mass of wiring embedded within. You might also notice that the dev playthrough of Singularity is one of the few (or the only one?) not played by Speeder.
