I've read somewhere on a mod forum an idea similar to this. Maybe it was related to Rhovanion Alliance.

“It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”

Yeah but Rhovanion Alliance was for BFME1, with BFME1 fortresses that sometimes had walls, which made scaling them with ropes a viable idea.

Alright! That idea wasn't very useful it seems.

To be honest, AotR and RA are my two favourite mods. They have many  similarities and, I don't know why, make me very interested in BFME mods. Maybe it's due to the nostalgy :p

RA is what got me interested in modding. I remember begging to be on the team, despite barely understanding the first thing about 3d modeling.

We pay a lot of homage to them in AotR.

I'm glad you do so! You're all their spiritual descendants now :p

A long proud lineage of the best modders, coders, skinners and mappers on BFME community!

True! Especially Galadhrim were ever watchful, they used their flets to look out for the enemy.

Concerning the siege mechanics:

Could ropes as a siege engine be made on the SAGE engine? As I've proposed earlier, would that be possible?

This is not bfme1 style mod so I dont see any use of ropes as Mathijs said

Rank 3: The Lady of Lothlorien:

Galadriel enacts a healing enchantment around herself, slowly healing all nearby friendly units and structures. the casting and duration of the healing "aura" is 30 seconds, after which galadriel can resume normal functions.

I've updated the plan with a new spellbook power.

What about a unit with stealth abilities ? Like LOTR movie, the ring fellowship didn't noticed the lothórien archers.

All Lorien units come with the ability to hide in trees like in vanilla game. And then they will also get the Lorien Cloak upgrade.

I believe they are inspired by this unit from The Elven Alliance mod for BfME1.

They are, although the lore is different here. In AotR, Amroth's Knights are the remnant of King Amroth's (the last king of Lothlórien who drowned off the coast of Edhellond) household guard. They're mounted Sindarin nobles, a reference to the mounted Athenian nobles (hippeis) of Ancient Greece.

I've reviewed Lothlórien's Faction plan and I've got a couple of ideas,
though whether they're, viable, coding-wise, or not, I do not know.

They are as follows:

1) Rank 1: "Foresight" - i.e: "Farsight"

- The name implies far more than mere "Farsight" which is Elronds power.

As such I was wondering, if it was possible to code it in such a way, as to
display the shadow (of) buildings, that are displayed for workers (of the
opposing faction) - when selected (i.e: used)?

I'm sure you can see the tactical value in this.

Thus justifying the name, and making Galadriel as powerful as she should be,
given her price range (i.e: 3000 gold).

2) Rank 4: "Bearer of Nenya" -
"Nearby structures gain +150% armor as well as the "Snow Blind" power."

- This, in my (humble) opinion, should be changed:

Lets say the armor percentage increase stays, but, since: "Nenya's" power is
preservation, protection, and concealment from evil" (as quoted from Wikia ),
then perhaps one could 'modify' the power a bit.

Here is what I have in mind:
What if the structures turned invisible, when this ability is activated?

This would be displayed by a ghostly visage, across all of the Lothlórien's structures.

Akin to the "Army of the Dead" effects, with a white hue instead of green,
because "Nenya's" design is reminiscent of "Eärendil", their most beloved
star, whom's light is obviously (blindingly) white.

The invisibility effect would be countered, only, by other Ring-bearers, and of
course, by The One.

This is where the 150% Armor increase comes in handy, as it stays even in
Saurons presence, thus being representative of Galadriels defience against
him, which is clearly displayed in the (Hobbit) movies.

She's an end game hero, thus these, 'abilities', being as 'powerful' as
they are, is justified, in my opinion.

The rest are fine as they are.

P.S:
She could also display a ring around her, on the ground, that
is reminiscent of the "Nenya's" star design, but only in the
presence of other Ring-bearers, since this ring of power, is only
visible in the presence of its 'kin', & of course to The One:)

Thoughts?

Best of regards, your, adamant, supporter Destromath.

1. That is very much impossible to do.

2. Snowblind does "preserve and protect." The FX will be changed so it's not a straight up copy from the vanilla power. As for all the other parts, there are way too many specific variables that are impossible to have in the game. There isn't a way to have a building detect if Sauron or Elrond is nearby to reveal stealth. The star FX, while visually cool, serves absolutely no gameplay purpose and would require a great amount of work to get it to look right and getting it working in general.

Well, I suspected as much. But, sometimes, it is necessary to get the idea out there, in the hopes it may eventually be possible.

Thank you for your consideration, regardless.

Greetings creators and designers of this mod

Only one problem with this faction in some maps... when i play (for example) in the river bruinen, using Lothlorien as my ally or enemy, it doesn't move and doesn't make anything, just they stand. I've prove in differents positions or like ally/enemy and it's same.
