Well. It's been a long time since last time I uploaded something. Here it goes.  :thumbsuphappy:

 

This mod is called Sexy Necron's. THERE ARE NO BOOBIES!!!!!!!!!  :tongevil: It's just a name I gave it. So I repeat. No Necron's with boobies. Everybody got that? Good.

Here we go. I gave it its name, because it makes the Necron's look awesome. Its a series of mods I call Sexy Upgrades. So it's just a filler name until I find a mod to fuse it with. And it helps me remember what this mod is all about. I have hundreds of mods.  :thumbsupdrool:

 

This one I am very proud of, and want some help to Finnish. What this mod does is simple. It gives the Necron's a brand new look. New units and buildings. Its Right now in a beta stage. And I want help to test it and fix it. I hope this mod has something that could be useful for the unification mod. 

 

What this mod does:

 

  • Give all Necrons a shiny, and unholy look. Like the living metal they are described with in the codex.
  • New HD Icons from the Errtanis HD pack
  • Thomas Macabee mod added
  • Necron Vizer (Mikes mod leader) added
  • Resurrection Tower added
  • Tunnels Added
  • New FX and glow. (From Mod DB)
  • New Spells
  • New Units
  • New water effects, so the Necron glow shines in the water.
  • New skins (Hiveworld Terra). Makes the Necron use badges for once.
  • The Necron God's get's a new look.

So here is what I want help with: The mod is unfinished. Needs that last polish, and bug testing.

  • Please do not share this mod with anyone outside of Revora. I will upload it to Moddb when it's done, and all permissions for the Macabee is in order.
  • I want help with the infiltration on the Vizer. He turns completely invisible when he stands close to the Lord with shadow veil. I have no idea how to fix that.
  • Help with the AI. It works, but don't use all the new functions.
  • Help with making the Vizer TC. I can try my hand on it, but I am a little rusty. So I need to relearn how I make the sprites TC. Been a long time since I did that.
  • Suggestions for the new buildings, and what to keep, and what to drop.
  • Balancing the new powers.
  • Suggestions on transfering all, or bits of this mod to the Unification mod.

I am not going to upload pictures here, because the shiny glow looks weird on pictures, but awesome ingame. Please see for yourselves.

Regrettably... we cannot modify the Vanilla race in Unification :thumbsdownsmiley:

BUT WHAT ABOUT A RACE MOD????

We have Tau Enclaves, we have Blood Angels, we have Thousand Sons, Eldar Craftworlds, why not "Necron Tombs"???

LET'S MAKE IT A RACE.

 

Remember, we can use YOUR mod, and add whatever we want from UA. :twisted:

 

P.S.: Dammit, I want to finish Wolf Lords, but I CANNOT resist I must see it now! I WANT to have sex ... ahem... FUN with the new Necrons!

Merge it with Necron Dynasties? Nothing says we CAN'T modify vanilla races, especially if it's cosmetic but yeah we could add the death shrouds etc from UA.

The mod is easy to put up in pieces. As I made everything separate before combining it to one mod.

 

Things that will not effect vanilla:

 

  • The shiny glow is can be separate and will not replace vanilla skins. It is on top of it.
  • New skins just make the vanilla better. Still keep the vanilla core look. Makes the Necron use badges for once.
  • The FX is easy to add to unification. Contains amazing effect for all races.
  • Water effect can be added to unification without affecting gameplay.
  • New HD Icons from the Errtanis HD pack

 

Things that affect vanilla, and will not be in Unification If we use this:

  • Thomas Macabee mod 
  • Necron Vizer
  • Resurrection Tower
  • Tunnels
  • New Spells
  • New Units

I actually have a new Necron race mod in its early Alpha stage. No new models there.

Really like this brother. While editing the vanilla race is beyond Unification's goal,creating a new race is the most logical solution.Considering our team's contribution to UA's development,I do not think they will deny us if we burrow some of their assets. Most of them are public domain anyways (for the modding community).

 

Also add a female Necron Lord.Dutchess! (Without boobies of course but the repentias in WH do have and nobody stopped them from purging the enemy.)

I have no problem with that. Once the kinks are out of this mod, people can use it however they want for other mods. :thumbsupcool:

I need to ask permission to use that Thomas Macabee first too.  :ermm:

It's to early to say if a new Necron race can be made, but I do have a Race in early Alpha. Maybe I can cook up a decent skeleton for a new race mod as a foundation for this some time before this year ends. I will put it on my project list.  I had no idea we could freely use the UA models. I will look into all the Necron models there.

 

The Female Necron sounds awesome, but I sadly am not a 3d modeller. So if that does not exists. There is little I can do.

Fair enough brother. I have heard tales of a female Necron model lurking on both Modb and some Russian DOW related forum but I can't find anything concrete right now. However I do have found some topless (boobies) version of Witchunters models(and by models I mean all of them,not only the Repentias,even of Canoness'),so I guess everything is possible.

Needs some design additions and refreshment and stuff, but the models look awesome!

We do have the luxury to modify Vanilla Races in the New Races version of Unification ONLY, leaving the "standard", Bugfix version untouched - so we get the best from BOTH worlds :twisted:

How do you think we are now swapping the SMs Gery Knights to Deathwatch veterans (IDH mod) and the modle of CSMs obliterators to a new one (Chaos Daemons) ??? !!!!!

 

In fact, we should have done that with Eldar Craftworlds replacing Eldar, OrkA replacing Orks, etc....!

But since we didn't do that, I think we must do the same here.

 

So I really prefer, and vote for "new  race", Necron Dynasties approach. :grad:

Nice one Loki. I've got a similar approach but less shiny also reflecting metal I could upload if someone is interested based on Hangar 8 textures.

I would love to see them Mdcertainty. Please upload them. Could be worth giving to an new Necron race so we can see the difference better. I hope to work on the Necron Dynasties if Alex let me mod them. I think he retired to focus on writing fiction. Seems like a nice guy.  :thumbsuphappy:

I was thinking maybe redoing the reflection to a very light blue I mean almost not noticeable but it could look a bit more "cold metal" like guess I'll try that sooner or later :) .

The Vizer has TC colours now, with that sexy glow. I Also updated the main SexyNecron download link, and checked Vizer TC of the list. Would like help or tips on the infiltration bug on the Vizer. Instead of turning dark and shadow like vanilla does, he turns completely invincible. Making it hard for the player to see him.  :blink:

Does his infiltration_ext has the proper values? Opacity can be adjusted from there, if the textures have wrong alphas...

 

Anyway...

So many possibilities with races, I am overwhelmed.

Slaanesh and Nurgle CSMs, Dark Eldar, OrkA and necrons...

I would like to DO THEM ALL!!!

Frankly, my first desire was the GK branch in IDH. Now it is done :thumbsuphappy:

Second in my whish list... Alien Hunters. Dammit this would be THE BEST mod in existence.

And then, all the above race.

Dark Eldar and Orks are practically untouched, and so are Necrons.
