You could add the ordo xenos as a third branch? Would make sense in many ways.

There are three ordos, thus there must be three factions!

WH and IDH has their own mods (and this is the reason why I put the GK into IDH, and NOT a separate race).

So, Alien Hunters must have their own mod!

Remember, they get their own UI ticks, and the Gene System AND the Orbital Centre (they have a global builder), AND they have different buildings/units/audio!

 

It is clearly a NEW race man.

 

I know we have not much resources, but let's not do something improper. :thumbsupcool:

Really a beautiful sight to be hold brother. They actually look like Egyptian Space (Zombie?) Terminators (as they should in the first place). Looking forward the next phase of your project.

As far as Alien Hunters are concerned,they should be by all means a separate race. Not only from a coding prospective but also because,in the fluff,they do operate completely different than the other branches.

I can create addon packs for unification that is purely cosmetic.  Like the Sexy_Necrons with all the new skins and FX, but without the stuff that affects gameplay. Yay or nay?  :mellowthumbsup: Would be real quick for me to create this.

 

I also have a question. I am about to create some giant map packs mods. Are vanilla dow maps fully compatible with SS dow maps, and vice versa? Been a long time since I have made anything with maps. So I don't remember how this works. :huh:

Regrettably... we cannot modify the Vanilla race in Unification :thumbsdownsmiley:

BUT WHAT ABOUT A RACE MOD????

We have Tau Enclaves, we have Blood Angels, we have Thousand Sons, Eldar Craftworlds, why not "Necron Tombs"???

LET'S MAKE IT A RACE.

 

Remember, we can use YOUR mod, and add whatever we want from UA. :twisted:

 

P.S.: Dammit, I want to finish Wolf Lords, but I CANNOT resist I must see it now! I WANT to have sex ... ahem... FUN with the new Necrons!

 

I tried to design a tentative "Newcrons" using the same style of "all being created from the HQ". I remember that almost everything was fitting one way or another, just ditching some units which are more akin to the way old crons were, and these slots are used now by the new units they are present in the current retcon.

 

I can add the list to see what do you think.

 

Meanwhile I did the task of creating the teamcolours and the symbols of the dynasties. They are used in the monoliths as banners and they look quite good to me, I achieved a light effect.

Until my Corsix went insane, I had started on a simple Necron_Dynasties mod. So far I hope to make my SN, blue and red coexist in the same mod as separate races. Then make red and blue FX for them work as separate FX and not overwrites. Lastly give each Dynasty something unique.

 

The green Necrons will have what SN gave them.

 

red and blue I need to research. I guess I make one of them focus on specialist unit's like the snipers, and the other on new vehicles and super-weapons. I have a big pack of models.

 

Brother Mdcertainty had some Necrons with blue glow I want to add to the blues, and I hope to add your stuff too.

How many glow colours is there?

Red, blue, green and orange?

Well several dynasties still have green as their energy colour:

 

Agdagath, Atun, Nekhtyst, Nephrek, Nihilak, Novokh, Ogdobek and Sautekh (the latter the most powerful among dynasties)

 

Red: Sekemtar (a vassal of Sautekh)

 

Amber/Yellow: Mephrit

 

Orange: Maynarkh and Vralekht (this one is made up by Forge World)

 

Blue: Thokt

 

Cyan: Charnovokh

 

 

I don't know if GW has something in mind for Necrons next year or some years more. What I'm seeing is that it has a tendency to apply differences between subfactions; not only chapters or regiments which are quite known but also Eldar, SoB, AdMech or orks will have the same treatment. I have no idea about Tau, Necron or Dark Eldar.

I believe that the Necrons will have some kind of ''update'' by GW when (and if) they are added to the next expansion of DOW 3. It is hinted that they will be the main adversaries there.But doubt there will be anything concrete.

New Mod.

Dawn of Planets.

One big collection of dow maps. The first in 4 map packs I have in store. It's 448  452 maps in this pack. All textures and all that good stuff included. So hopefully there is no big question marks on any of the maps. I hope. Should there be a problem, please give me a pm.  :thumbsupxd:

I doubt gw would hinge a necron release on dow3, probably the inverse is more likely. Remember when Dow came out and you could get bonesingers? Also blood ravens had some interesting facets that relic seel to have forgotten (more than average number of librarians for instance).

I've yet to play dow3, but seems potentially unlikely they will get an expanded as generally it is unpopular. I assume they have moved onto aoe4 as my impression is relic are a small company.

Likely crons will get an update this cycle.

Anyway...maaaaaaps!

Damn, the mapmaker community did a lot of maps I have just lost track of how many I have or I can potentially have.

 

Well, its all from dow Vanilla. I think 99% of the maps are here (filefront): Download List. A few of the maps had corrupt rar files, so I skipped those. There is none of the moddb in this pack. I will place them in the "A New Dawn" pack when I get to that.

 

In the next pack all the filefront WA maps will be included. If you already have some of these maps, they should be ignored when this mod pack discover the duplicates. Just like when you combine other mods in the module.  :thumbsuphappy:

New maps. Bringing the total too 452. There was a few ork themed maps I forgot. Also, all scar code has been added for those maps that came with it. New load screen for many maps. A few new minimaps for the skirmish menu.  :thumbsupcool:
