Ciao..

1) If i have a group of China Hokum or a group of Comanche of Laser General and one of these is downed, the others helicopters that are near it are istantly downed too without reason.

2) Some new units as Usa Black Hawk, Devastator of Nuke Gen,ecc.. don't gain any promotion.

3) The Nuke missile launcher RT-21 has graphic imperfections after the shoot and before that it is destroyed.

4) Which type of maps is best (official maps,custom fan-created maps, ecc..) for the Project Raptor mod? Because i played with some custom map and the AI doesn't attack and build units only.

5) Demo Gla General can't build the Scud Launcher.

6) The new units of Gla can use the Junk Repair?

7) I see in the first laser usa general challenge that a group of Gla rebel toxin are unable to destroy a laser turret under construction at 0%.

8) In generals challenge the player starts always with the not much placeable and bad-looking grey color.

9) The battle Chinook of Airforce General doesn't fire.

You have had all of those answered except 9, an I will explain that. You have to put men inside of it for it to shoot, but then it can't carry supplies.

I was just playing as the China Tank General, and the hacker truck is empty...even though the description says it isnt. I don't know about the rest of the China factions, but I assume they will suffer the same problem.

Answer to #:

1.) Yes, this is a known bug. No resolution at this time (to the best of my knowledge).

2.) That's true, not sure if it's a bug or not. Need to confer with VG on that one.

3.) This is known.

4.) Official maps are best to play PR with. You can play custom maps as well, but (and this holds true with all custom made maps) the AI plays only as well as the maps maker creates it. There are various reasons why an AI will sit there and not build or move. Most of them are caused by the oversights that beginner mapmakers make. For example: Not having waypoints properly named and placed into base areas. Forgetting to add ALL skirmish generals to the edit players list. Etc...

One other note about custom maps. If your playing a map that you've downloaded from C&C Den, for example, and you wanted to play against the Militia faction. Because the militia faction is an exclusive side that PR adds to Zero Hour, NONE of the custom maps you download will allow the militia's AI to build unless you manually open up worldbuilder and add the militia to the edit players list. Only then will the Militia side's AI work on custom maps.

5.) Umm... I'm going to have to check on that one.

6.) Yes, I believe so.

7.) Ok

9.) Known bug. It fires, but the animation is stuck on the muzzle flash.

Ignore the description. In PR 7.0 the hackers were removed from the hacker trucks. You now have a limit on the number of actual hackers that can be built in a game, and you must decide whether you want your hackers in the internet center, or in a mobile hacker truck, or split them up between the two. Your choice.

Definately official maps, due to the increased number that we will be getting. Categories are bellow for our projected map list types.

King of the Hill - Capture and hold a designated object for 10 minutes to win.
Co-op - This will be a type of campaign if you will I am working on the code for it now to make it so it will go in order when you play online.
Covert Operations - These will be a pain in the ass. You have a set number of units, and one hero unit. You must destroy a selected object in an enemy base, say Propoganda Towers, to win, some will have a time limit and others wont. Stealth will be key to winning.
Naval Battle - Maps with water and islands, bases only really accessable via ferry/transport. Ships will be avaliable on these maps.

More information will be given when the final product is about to be released.

Pick which ones you want to do. Then make one, and send it to me, so I can see if we're on the same level about what the maps should be like, I think you know, but I need to know that you know what I'm talking about :lol:.

i only have one problem (i have already emailed your filefront address)

Generals challenge won't work
every general i click on makes the game exit out
now i had fixed this probelm before but the files got infected and i had the reinstall the game and now i can't remember how i did the fix
if anyone knows how, please post

go to the directory with all of the big important game files in it, and, making sure that PR is uninstalled, delete the data folder. That's right. Just get rid of it. Then, do a repair of ZH, and viola! it's back to normal! At least, I hope. I am a master at fixing bugs in mods that are there when released or bugs that arise on a specific computer, as well as removing mods. I have gone through many mods in the past year, so I know what i'm saying. if it doesn't get fixed, however, just remove PR, ZH, and Generals (in that order) and reinstall them. that should fix it for sure. I would clean up any remnant files before you install agian, however.

hello again ,
me and a friend have been playing online with PR 7.0 (me with nuke gen and him with laser gen ) vs 4 medium CPU's (they were GLA , China , USA and Militia ) anyway , after 2-5 mins after the game starts , we get a sync error (or w/e its called ) and the game exits to main menu :-/

Pls help :(

In PR 7.0 the following bugs were found to cause mismatch errors during online play:

The Militia War Factories Gun:
If it is fired it will cause a mismatch and end the game.

Super Weapons General:
EMP Patriot System if fired it will also cause a mismatch.

According to Vanguard (the mods creator) these bugs will be fixed in PR 8.0 (which is still a whiles away from what I understand).

Also keep in mind that bugs are not the only source for game mismatches in Generals/Zero Hour:

'This error comes up when two or more systems are connected online together. When the computers stop sending the same packets the fall out of sync, this error pops up. These synchronization errors happen for various reasons. Background programs obstructing the flow of information, modified game code or maps, or possibly corrupt game files.'

i've been going through the coding and I found that some of the generals' units for the USA faction don't have Hellfire drone upgrades.
I just wanted to let everyone know about the missing code.

You're going to have to be a little more specific in your problem than that if your wishing to get help for your problem. So please describe what you see, and when you see it. Here's a thought though if your having problems starting PR.

If you can't even start PR, consider doing these steps (especially if you've played other mods prior to installing Project Raptor):

1.) Uninstall Generals and Zero Hour.

2.) Clean out any remaining remnant files (see our FAQ for instructions)

3.) reinstall Generals, Zero Hour, and its patches.

For more instructions on how to do all of this see our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.

Typically, this will solve most (but not all) problems.

Another possible cause for PR not running at all is a bad download (a download that gets corrupted during the download process). So, if you've tried the steps above and you still don't have any luck, try uninstalling Generals and ZH, and then downloading and installing PR again.

If you are able to run PR, but the game crashes at some point during the game, please give us a better description of your problem.

i've had the same problem

after you play a skirmish map for around 10 maybe 15 minutes, the game crashes for some unknown reason

i think its because of how complicated the new ai is and when playing against more than 3 other ncp players, you'll risk it crashing

i know this strategy works. i've tryed it

I know that none has been here for a while, but if anyone has had my problem and still visits ocassionally checks I need help. My problem is that when I open the game it says that a "serious error has occured and that the computer has to shut off the game, and I should check on the original Zero Hour site, but that never happened before, can anyone help.
ps. I already tried unloading it.
