With my horrible luck, EA staff will decide to follow the ideas of the people, and read the pr0n addicts' posts.

I have my doubts. RA2 wasn't anything really to do with RA1 plot-wise. It was also a hundred times more cartoony.
I, like Apollo, really looked forward to the third instalment in the Tiberian series (fourth if you include Renegade...which I don't since it's TD on foot with a few dates mixed up!). What can they really do with the Allied/Soviet theme now?
The only grim hope I hold on to in this venture is that they might somehow tie up the loose end between Red Alert universe and Tiberian universe (if there indeed is a connection)...but even then I'm doubtful.
I'll just sit in my own skepticism and say, 'I have my doubts about this one.'
On the up side, they can't do much worse than Gens, unless they make it like Army Men or RA2, whereby the game is cartoonified.
To quote RA1: WE WANT WAR! WAKE UP!

as far as im concerned, the people behind the command and conquer games have a certain "learning curve" each time they start on a new engine. tiberian sun-> red alert 2 is a good example of this.
generals->[BFME]->ra3 might be the same. the more they play around with an engine, the more they understand what they can do with it, and what limitations they have.
I think this will be the case to with RA3 too, you have to consider that the team working on Gen was a bit of mess at the time with a lot of the old WW staff leaving or moving to work on other projects.
I my self are not gona bother with BFME but I can't wait for RA3. I just hope this time round they get the scale right with everything (thinks of RA2 infantry *shudders*), other then that I don’t care what they add to it

Any one have any ideas what the story is this time? There isn't much more you could do with the RA storyline maybe if yuri makes a come back! but then there are a ton of mods like that for RA2

me too... I was really looking forward to TT... but damn EALA went and took the easy way out... I personally enjoyed TD, RA, and TS better than RA2 and YR (which I found much easier and newbie friendly). I would have rather seen TT, but RA3 is better than nothing I suppose.
