Yea, it sounds hopeful and of course Tanya will be on it :)

Hybrid, if it's rated 18+, Tanya would strip :).

Bunch of pervs. Only want it 18+ to see tanya naked. You perverts. Do you think skaggs will really turn RA3 into a porn show so you lot and 'have a go' at it.

I just want good cutscenes with actual people.

With my horrible luck, EA staff will decide to follow the ideas of the people, and read the pr0n addicts' posts.

i could live with proper CG-movies, as long as they get it right. the intro to DOW is a great example of how to do it. (only took a month to make it aswell). still i do agree that proper movies are great, but you know EA, they don't have the economy to do such things![insert sarcastic smile here]

'Planning to' being the key phrase. :)

I have my doubts. RA2 wasn't anything really to do with RA1 plot-wise. It was also a hundred times more cartoony.

I, like Apollo, really looked forward to the third instalment in the Tiberian series (fourth if you include Renegade...which I don't since it's TD on foot with a few dates mixed up!). What can they really do with the Allied/Soviet theme now?

The only grim hope I hold on to in this venture is that they might somehow tie up the loose end between Red Alert universe and Tiberian universe (if there indeed is a connection)...but even then I'm doubtful.

I'll just sit in my own skepticism and say, 'I have my doubts about this one.'

On the up side, they can't do much worse than Gens, unless they make it like Army Men or RA2, whereby the game is cartoonified.

To quote RA1: WE WANT WAR! WAKE UP!

let's hope it's less cartoony than RA2 , and that it has no more giant squid and daulphins kind of nonsense either.

as far as im concerned, the people behind the command and conquer games have a certain "learning curve" each time they start on a new engine. tiberian sun-> red alert 2 is a good example of this.
generals->[BFME]->ra3 might be the same. the more they play around with an engine, the more they understand what they can do with it, and what limitations they have.

I think this will be the case to with RA3 too, you have to consider that the team working on Gen was a bit of mess at the time with a lot of the old WW staff leaving or moving to work on other projects.

I my self are not gona bother with BFME but I can't wait for RA3. I just hope this time round they get the scale right with everything (thinks of RA2 infantry *shudders*), other then that I don’t care what they add to it :)

hehe, its quite hard to get the scale right in RTS games, if youre gonna make the tanks bigger, then you have to make the buildings bigger. if youre gonna make the infantry smaller, then you will have problem clicking on them.

Well I think I have got it right in D-day, only prob is that you cant make huge buildings in RA2, Any way...

Any one have any ideas what the story is this time? There isn't much more you could do with the RA storyline :) maybe if yuri makes a come back! but then there are a ton of mods like that for RA2

me too... I was really looking forward to TT... but damn EALA went and took the easy way out... I personally enjoyed TD, RA, and TS better than RA2 and YR (which I found much easier and newbie friendly). I would have rather seen TT, but RA3 is better than nothing I suppose.

I hope EA don't make the westwood people make the game more like AOE like they did in generals. It would be great to be able to play a new game that follows the old formula(construction yards and such, none of this peon shit)

by now, they should have gotten the engine to run higher quality models,(it should at least be that way in bfme), so i believe that the quality of the models will be much better in this game than it was in generals(the infantry in generals sucked).

yeah, it should still be an awesome game, although I would have prefered to play a TT instead of a RA3. 3d modeling is easier to work with than vxls and shp's in my opinion, although the coding is a bit more frusterating. It would be great to see the right sidebar return to the C&C name.
