You freaking imbeciles. The British did worlds worse to Ireland than America is doing to Iraq. Heres something to prove it: All intentional casualties in Iraq were precieved as threats by the sometimes overly jumpy soldiers. You'd be nervous too if you were fighting an enemy that does not follow the rules! On the other hand, Britain conquered Ireland about 800 years ago. Then, the killing started. This went on for centuries, with Catholics being dragged out of their houses and murdered every week. It pinnacled when Britain withheld food during the Great Hunger, starving millions of Irish to death. A generation or two later, in 1916, a select few Irish citizens said they had enough and rebelled in Dublin city. Instead of negotiating, instead of using the police action needed to destroy the understrengthed rising, they brought in troops FROM THE FRONTS IN THE WAR to MASSACRE, UNDER THE DIRECT ORDER OF GENERAL JOHN GRENFALL MAXWELL, ANY IRISH MAN, WOMAN, OR CHILD SEEN. And all America did was send in troops to destroy the Iraqi military and Saddam Hussein. Go to http://users.bigpond.../kirwilli/1916/ to see more info, mine is not entirely accurate because I am very, very angry at the way you are portraying America, where I currently live. You are assholes. You think I am a coward, well then COME AND GET ME! And we'll see who is a match for who! Don't tell me to calm down either, I am defending America, and I am no even an American citizen. Only I am grateful for their sacrifice to make the world safer, huh? Britain, you never had the guts to do what the Americans have done: they stood up to the Soviets when you just sat there.

"You freaking imbecile." Hitler did far worse to Poland/Russia/[Insert Occupied Country Here] than Britain did to Ireland. That was the most illogical conclusion I've ever read. Simply because you're not the worst doesn't make you good: that's akin to praising the actions of the United States because some other nation killed more people... wait... :rolo:

Those are form an irish point of view. The irish also say that bloody sundayhappened because British soldiers opened fire on a group of unarmed civilians for absolutely no reason.

Standing up to Russia and communism. Britain didn't sit back because they were too scared, they did it because Russia weren't really a threat to Britain, and it was pointless getting involved in stupid wars just to stop the inevitable spread of communism. As for Vietnam, America tried to pressure and threaten Britain into the war but we refused. Looking back... yes, I think we made the right decision. Even if we did enter, we wouldn't BRAINWASH our soldiers to hate the colour yellow, to such an extent than many vietnam veterans won't have anything yellow in their houses today, we didn't SEND THOUSANDS OF TEENAGERS TO CERTAIN DEATH in a jungle, and we're not like the CIA.

It's an all-too little-known fact, but the CIA are actually allowed to use torture as a method of extracting information. Normally, informaiton is acted upon by the FBI. Only because the FBI aren't allowed to torture, they can't use the informaito the CIA get form torture. So the CIA torture people and get absolutely nothing from it.

Good. The CIA should be allowed to torture. If you've caused enough of a problem in the world that we need information to stop more problems and you refuse, than yes, torture should be used. It'd be idiotic if all the CIA could do is ask politely.

And Dr. Pietro and Tupac, you are both absolute idiots. "omg I hate bush he is gay the war in iraq was for oil!1!!1!omgwtf"

^That has truth in it. We can easily say torture and such things should be allowed - while it is the victims that must endure it. Just like war.

did anyone in england watch that program the other day about how american soldiers are torturing suspected terrorists in prisons throughout iraq to gain information?? some guy wouldnt say anything for 4 days being brutally tortured and they then got his son, beat him an inch from death and showed the man his son. he instantly broke into tears and gave all the information he had! and they do these things to almost every suspected terrorist supposidly (and suspected means 1 person sayin he is a terrorist).

if anyone says that is rightoousness, well........its not :p
