But why give GLA a howitzer and an M1A1??

what in the world are you talking about???? Who wants to give GLA an M1A1?

also, the artillery piece Asasult GLA got was because its in his description... Powerful Tanks, artillery, air support. He didn't recieve specificly american artillery... its just a mobil gun.

Will Remix 3 be incorporating any of the new units and models from the new version of CONTRA? Because I downloaded the .06 version of it and its got alot of high-quality stuff, all the aircraft was redone and theres new effects. I know the two mods were pretty similiar before.

This is imo the best mod for Generals, there is no mod that I think has the most incredible unit list and detailed gameplay for each of the generals in the game but it upsets me to see it seeminly collecting dust :p

This is imo the best mod for Generals, there is no mod that I think has the most incredible unit list and detailed gameplay for each of the generals in the game but it upsets me to see it seemingly collecting dust ;)

Let me start with the overview of what I have done so far, and already plan to do...

starting with the first Remix release to current, these are the changes that I can think of... keep in mind, this list is not complete, these are just the changes I could think of...

notice GLA really got the short end of the stick... its tough to have alot of ideas for an army you don't play. I've got a good list of changes for Assault and Stealth that I plan to include with the next release, but Demo and Chem arn't planed to recieve any more than just heavy base defesnses.

Planed things right now - and/or working on right now...

Everyone:
a second tech center for advanced prerequisits and research
upgrades tied to several key buildings to slow down the tech escelation just a little

AirF:
new lvl 5 superpower... a cluster of Aruora's will fly in and bomb an area to hell and fly off the map A-10 style
replace repair 1-3 with Raptor reinforcments (if it will work right)

Cybr:
might remove unused units because so many have been gained.

Lazr:
satalite caller unit (almost done, might make it into Contra.04)

Flame
a 6 plane airfield with 3 runways. (already designed... easy to model)
Infa:
a heavy airfield for paradrop planes

Nuke:
I've got a mobile retaliator gun, must deploy to fire. thinking about adding.

aslt:
pretty much a complete overhaul...I've started doing this already. will return to a standard base (no mobile commnd or stash) I have 7 vehicle replacements planed(some done), new base defesnes, and add artillery to the generals powers.
an 80's Mig as an interceptor (maby somthing like china standard mig as AA)

slth
several powers changed and added
powers tied to some buildings to allow moer than the standard
NO new units... stealth has the least and weakest, I will keep it that way.
I've got an idea for a new super weapon... secret for now...

I have some suggestions... correct grammar for one... I know some people don't read NEARLY as much as I do (upwards of 20 books a day or twice that in fan fictions) but honestly, is correct grammar too much to ask for? I've seen some nasty ones too... Thermobaricals/thermobaricks just doesn't cut it, the correct spelling is t-h-e-r-m-o-b-a-r-i-c-s. Thermobarics are high-yield explosives with a definitely cruel twist. Most (read 99.99%) of all explosives consume oxygen as they flare out upon detonation. Thermobarics, however, do not. They flare out as far as their yield allows, then proceed to suck in oxygen from the surrounding region. The vacuum that results is usually strong enough to pull a person's lungs out through their mouth, killing them in a most painful manner. On that note, aforementioned lungs do not usually leave as one piece, they're usually torn to pieces in the process. If you would like assistance in grammar, check online dictionaries, or ask.

But theres a thin line between Pend working for heavens knows how long and the mod being dead, for all I know he could be working without doing work on this mod for years and so in that scenario the Mod is basically dead, wheras if he is likely to be able to do something on the mod every week or so and it is likely to be finished in a few months then the mod is not dead, just slow progress.

Firstly to commander pend does not have time to spend everyday makings posts and making sure its perfect in both spelling and grammar. What he aims to do is give people an overview as long as everyone understands it then its all good, it seems like you understood the post fine therefore stop being an ass.
I am sure you have made spelling mistakes and have used bad grammar at times everyone has done it that's fact.

Now to the Remix fan guest.
The mod is not dead pend works on it at his "own" pace, be patient and wait like everyone else. I'm sure remix is not the game that keeps you alive so spend your time suggesting ideas or entertain yourself in other ways while you wait.

The mod is not dead pend works on it at his "own" pace, be patient and wait like everyone else. I'm sure remix is not the game that keeps you alive so spend your time suggesting ideas or entertain yourself in other ways while you wait.

Thats the problem, I am waiting like everyone else, but if this pace is "the mod will be finished in 3 years" i would like to know. No but its the best C&C Generals mod so I would at least like to know its overall pace and whether I should be looking forward to it this year, next year, this time next year or perhaps in 3 years+

I just hope pend won't double the building armor,because it was just a stupid change that creator made in contra 006,that made bombers useless unless spammed,and made powers and super weapons almost useless.
I hope also that pend won't nerf chinese defences(gat. Cannon)because in contra 6 they were nerfed so they won't hit artillery rockets,but all other defences still can.
My suggestion for a new thing:laser general get 2 new weapon types:sonics and railgun

Laser gen is having a rework again, will have a number of techs you can choose.

a generals challenge mode would be nice, if it could be implemented, and i understand if you are waiting for the GLA factions to be added

A Kinetics General for the USA focusing on advanced kinetic/ballistic weapons like Metal Storm guns, railguns, and advanced artillery and tanks. And by railguns, I don't mean the wimpy C&C3 railguns. I mean something that looks and feels like a hypersonic metal spike. Air power would be limited of course, and no bunker buster bombs. However, some bunker busting artillery or tank rounds instead would do nicely. Also would be a nice way to get an actual Mammoth tank in-game. Put a customizable auxillary weapon on the rear of the turret and you are made. Some other units would include the actual Paladin, which is a mobile 155mm Howitzer, the M1A5 Abrams as a starting tank, Steel Rain Cluster MLRS, and advanced base defenses like MLRS Turrets, Fortified Firebases with double cannons, and Metal Storm turrets, which would be similar to Chinese Gatling Turrets, except more powerful, more expensive, and more power-hungry. However, this General is all about massive firepower/armor, not spamming superweapons. Real warriors fire hypersonic metal spikes at their enemies from tanks.

Mid-game SW: Infinite range ballistic trajectory railgun artillery. Basically it goes really, really high, and comes crashing down at terminal velocity. And since it is a massive heavy metal spike and F=M*V.....

Final SW: Satellite Rain. Like the name implies, it rains tungsten rods from space on the enemy base. And no, I do not want "Rods from God". Everyone uses that term.

The kinetics general you are describing is quite good. A lot of that stuff was planned for the hopefully new and upcoming "Spec ops" General.

And I agree with the name change for Laser. Would be far more suiting.

That is probably one of the best suggestions I've ever heard. That would probably be one of my new favorite generals (the descriptions of everything makes it sound so much more painful). He seems like he would be super weapons general, although change superweapons into units. Expensive as hell, but unreasonably strong to match it.

Just a general question. Is there planning for adding more generals to the sides, or would it replace the "old" new ones? (more so is the guy who took over going to continue that idea if so. Sorry guy, I can't remember your name and can't check)
