I'm very close to the first closed WIP of 2 GLA factions... but I'm still working on it. The last few days I've been very busy with work and family becuse I'm about to out of town for a week.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

This isn't a hit against any one in particular, but I was getting so many IMs from Revora members that I set my AIM, MSN, ICQ, and Yahoo to Invisible... I keep them that way pretty much all the time.

Feel free to ask questions, but I'd much rather answer questions in Revora PMs or just on the open Forum... I'm pretty much never sitting idle just waiting for something to happen, so its 100% chance that an IM will interupt something.

The AI has always been able to build ontop of each other even in the clean install unmodified version fo ZH.
I seen The AI build ontop of other buildings countless times not limited to remix, Ai coding i beleave can cut it down but its actualy a bug in the engine imo.

it is maybe becouse the ai places the buildings at the exact the same time. maybe if you work the ai so that it only places one building after another with pauzeses of 0.1 sec. or less between each of them. I have never seen the ai placing buildings on other buildings that are already build. Or that the ai dont select different dozers at the time. only one of each, after the building is placed (not yet build) the ai can select another dozer for the next order etc.

The AI doesn't "select" anything so the dozer idea is out... BUT, you are dead on with the simultanius builds. The solutions is not quite as easy as forcing a pause is because the ZH AI has an EXTREAMLY hard time dealing with several scripts at once. It can run more than one script per server frame, but if it tries to run too many it begins randomly skipping scripts. As you can imagine this is a nightmare for AI development. The only practical answers are 1. Do as much as possible in each script to reduce the number of scripts. 2. reduce the overlap of scripts by rewriting the entire AI.

For a test-AI I used option 1... after all, its not a FINISHED AI.... I know I've explained that repeatedly, in the ReadMe file AND in game the tactical analysis reminds players of useful Remix3 knowledge, such as the AI is a WIP and has limited support.

For the time being everyone should completely ingnore AI problems because the AI in use now will not be the AI used once I finish the GLA.

Its really tough to say... I've got alot of real life going on. Monday I go out of town for a week, and on the 1st I'm flying up to Virginia for a couple days for a job interview. If I get the new job I'll be very very busy for a long time.... like until christmas... (but its a good thing, nearly double the pay and combat zone deployment as a contractor 5x the pay while deployed)

If I don't ge the job the condolence prize is I get a few weeks without the wife and kids while they visit family in NorthCarolina.

well, it depends. For several weeks I'd be unable to mod, as I'd be busy both moving my family and closing out buisness with my old job, as well as learning the new job.

Once I'm established in the new job things may go back to normal for a while... but I'll have less free time at work, and I'll be doing deployments (both training and combat) with the unit I'm attached to. If I get deployed to Iraq (extreamly likely) I'll have lots of free time for modding after work, but I may or may not have steady internet access... so in a worst case I'd be locked away working on the mod in secret for months at a time and then every time I can I'd release huge updates.

But, while stateside it should be roughly buisness as usaul once I'm settled in.
