OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.
Razgriz intrerpretation

This probably means it will indeed not be as technically advanced as the other 2 (graphic wise etc) but It also means its easier for starting developers to make games for the Wii and can actually deliver it quite some 3rd party support..

Ever so subtile...To better reflect our company's new aim and philosophy, we felt it was time to finally give it a name everyone could get behind, a name they could fully grasp. Something they could handle. Plus, we feel confident that the dIc will finally penetrate the ever-elusive female gaming market, thereby creating a new generation of gamers.

ROFLMAOROFL!!! That's obscene! But that will attract females .. but for us, males, we'd better should looking for PS3, XBox 360
I wonder what the Ninty boss was getting when he renamed it?
Nintendo seem to have gone the route of 'sex sells'... o_0 Or at very least the way of the phallus. First they're talking about the bodily function, then went in with a rather gross logo...
Why do I actually believe that article to be genuine?

Think about it, Revolution and all the others have been overdone, and I mean look at Playstation's originality: Another Playstation.
Wii is used in all cultures as "together" which shows this is a family console understood by everyone, it also means "to bring together", gamers rooted in old names will indeed shun their faces away from the name but still this is unique in that Nintendo is actually breaking the code everyone knows. It seems everyone is resisting change when change is a good thing
Besides don't take much notice of the name, it's how it plays is what counts

Well, when you consider that it isn't even pronounceable in Japanese, your "understood by everyone" argument goes out the window.I like the name Wii it's unique

It even got worse last night: The new PS3 controller will have 6 direction motion sensing.. and a guide button and triggers like on the xbox controller. Sony did it again.. oh and the PS3 will cost 500 dollars for a 20 GB version, which lacks HDMI and online support. The 60 Gig version will cost 600 dollars... Nintendo and MS should be able to win this console war now..

Sadly, the games will not be any cheaper, so it won't have that selling point. Sony have had a distinct advantage in holding on with theirs, in that they've been able to see what everyone else has been doing and go one better...or take the idea and implement their own version.

Honestly, there is no such word or meaning on any portuguese culture. Actually, W isn't used by portuguese words, at al... maybe on translation from some foreign words on certain regions (which might include Brazil, in my case, although even here the W is vastly avoided). And this is only one of the inumerous exceptions...

and obviously, the slogans were deviated, such as:
"oh wii !
Touching is good, but feeling is better"

And look at the E3 trailer.
Thus, the critics were silenced.
