What happened to the idea of actually discussing the subject of the thread. I can't find on epost in this whole mess that even address the topic at hand.

Shame on all you people. :santah:

Well, basically, Hostile, you neglected to mention that he got his cash in the first place by robbing it off the poor.

Believe he made his money by taking money from the rich in large realestate investments and than gave 31 billion to the Gates foundation.

Kal does not much about Warren Buffet.

You'd say that about anyone with any large sum of money.

It's true though. He got it through the capitalist system, which he is of course suporting, so whether indirectly or directly, he gained it from exploitation, a system whereby we have workers and bosses, slaves and masters. He is a member of the global elite, and he extracted it from the millions of slave workers that serve to maintain their position. It's quite obvious really.

So the only answer is for everyone to be poor, gee, that sounds like a world aclaimed aspiration for the masses.

Actually, the solution is for everyone to have enough for what they need, no more, no less.

So why can't they be? Why does being rich have to relate to wealth? Can't someone be rich by having enough on thier job to sustain ones hobbies, interests, and ambitions.

One can say, I am rich, because I made enough money to satasfy my needs, and am rich because in my spare time I can now persue my interests of painting, fixing up old cars, making websites, whatever.

Being rich is not a crime. Depends how you evalute the definition of rich. At the same time being wealthy is not bad either if you use your mentality and resources to create wealth and than give it back to support those who may have the ideas but lack the financial.

There lies in the fun of the game, by helping others through your prosperity, not by exploiting. Not all rich people are wealthy, and not all wealthy people are evil.

It's not just about what you do with the money, it's also about how you got it in the first place. All money gained through the capitalist system reinforces the hierarchy, nationalism, and statism that need not exist.

In that case, you're just as much a thief as he is. The difference is he gave all the money he "stole" back to the lower class, what have you done with your money so far?

He did give a lot more money than the rest of us have though.

You being unemployed doesn't change the fact that all the goods you currently own were produced, and acquired through capitalist means. All it means is that you're both lazy, and a thief.

Think about where and how your computer was made. Cheap and underpaid labor within the Philippines and Taiwan put together most of your microchips that your computer is currently using. Some of the silicon that your computer uses was stolen out of western Africa from the tech industry…these silicon extracting jobs are commonly outsourced to first-world companies who underpay the native employees. The money they make from this lucrative resource hardly goes back into the struggling economies of Ghana. Thus countries like Ghana cannot compete with tech jobs because it isn’t making any money from its own natural resource and hence has no means of building up it’s education infrastructure. However even knowing this you will probably still continue to use your computer…even if it is a very useful machine built upon an oppressed workforce.

As am I. I'm a student-athelete with two jobs. I fail to see how this proves your point either, you're still using the capitalist system, and according to your logic, have stolen everything you have.
