I said I'd model my Durin concept eventually. I did also say that I would do a step by step thing, but I was a bit lazy. I did include a shaded wireframe here so if you're savvy, you can see what I did.
Texture forthcoming in a few days.

I'm curious, how are you correcting him on a concept that exists solely in his mind? The beard, for example, doesn't 'look off' if that's the way he wanted it to look.

Those are reasonably valid comments I suppose - no way of telling that I plan to use alphas for the beard, and he may lack the intimate experience I have with the gimli skeleton for waist location . However the axe I'm afraid is perfect (ha), dwarf axes are square, not rounded in the haft.
