You should definitely do a tutorial on this Nertea.....one of my (private, impossible) dreams is to completely redesign the LVM for Narnia..... :p

considering that rob was my main correspondant in the making of this, he knows almost everything already :p

to write:

- follow-through of Durin creation tutorial
- effective texture resolution tutorial (rant)
- building unwrapping tutorial
- Wdump tutorial (can't find paty's anymore)
- living world tutorial

Lots to do. I'll probably write those in order from bottom to top...

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Thanks matt, that's the one I was looking for. I think I may update it a bit, missing a few things which I've figured out since then.

It's not nearly as pretty as the last one, but it's impressively big so far. Not looking forward to tackling regions...

Oh look, a post :p

I said I'd model my Durin concept eventually. I did also say that I would do a step by step thing, but I was a bit lazy. I did include a shaded wireframe here so if you're savvy, you can see what I did.

looks good apart for these 3 things

1 waist looks a little low
2 Beard doesnt look right try moving some of the outer vertices around to give it a more defined shape
3 Axe looks too blocky

Yeah, right...

I'm curious, how are you correcting him on a concept that exists solely in his mind? The beard, for example, doesn't 'look off' if that's the way he wanted it to look.

The concept's on the previous page mate

Those are reasonably valid comments I suppose - no way of telling that I plan to use alphas for the beard, and he may lack the intimate experience I have with the gimli skeleton for waist location :shiftee:. However the axe I'm afraid is perfect (ha), dwarf axes are square, not rounded in the haft.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Yeah, done. I like parts of it, others not so much. Might improve it sometime, but it's such a minor part of the mod that it's not worth more than 20 hours or so of work.
