the raptor

I lost my raptor psds! It's half done and it's too depressing to redo them.

Hehe, I know somebody who just watched "The hobbit"... ;-)

Well, somebody who just got a sweet book of concept art :-P my girl knows what I like.

Oh man. That's very depressing. Now you'll have to redo them based off of modern reconstructions :p

What's that concept art book called? I'd like to take a look at it.

Posting a public WIP helps my motivation, which is lacking these days.
colorDA.jpg

Halved the poly count since the last version, slowly working through this set of sketches to improve the overall design and remove the TW feel the original has. As you can see, plans include much more stylized details. Things not included are a change to leather boots, embroidering the cloth and redrawing the large symbology. Currently hav eonly finished redrawing the arms, poly reduction and reUVing almost everything.

Staring at the old ones also helps my motivation. Ouch.

This one isn't that surficailly impressive, but it is technically so due to low texture resolution (comparatively), low polygon count, and practically exact accuracy.
