It would be interesting to see I guess the birth of NEXUS by taking control of the allied facility where he was housed to the manipulation causes the civil war which breaks the soviet union apart and perhaps his control of soviet nuclear missile silos and what not such as MircoSpam Campus and Silicon valley for technology leading to armageddon. Although story wise would be hard to "brief" I mean NEXUS wouldn't need briefing when he betrays mankind.
So perhaps a allied legion commander tells the story of how NEXUS conquered the world like a retrospective looking at past review like the animatrix 2nd renassisance did.
In the "soviet" campaign it explains how the freedom league is formed whilsts the allies tell of there story to form a Zion and developments in technology.
Yuri would just appear in like 1 mission where his remaing followers and his base being crushed by allied, soviet and nexus forces

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.

So, Warzone is turning into a RS prequel, eh? I like it. May the ground be stained crimson and oil...
Well, to be honest... RS began loong loong time ago as both in 1..YR sides along RS sides..of course new sides were far superior and AI didnt cope well with all of those sides so I split the project into 2..YR:WZ goes along the YR improvement and the events towards RS to come..little unit hints there and there of nexus evolving or where he got ideas and such... while mostly Nexus was biting his nails to acquire technologies/designs and develop a proper plan..than go instantly CABAL: die humans and be outnumbered fast and shut down..like a overconfident cabal did..

NEXUS was created to combat Yuri. Indeed, it's the only reason Yuri was defeated (check the RS Manual). Therefore NEXUS should get the chance to combat Yuri.
Once it realised that whilever humans populated the planet there could be no peace, it broke away, taking its robotic army with it. It has since begun a glorious and righteous crusade to eliminate all sentient life on Earth. I figure that since NEXUS has the ability to assimilate knowledge from all computer systems it encounters (and therefore not forget anything), it'd be smarter than God by RS times. Allieds only maintain a technological edge because NEXUS is imitative, not innovative. A lot of his techs are ripoffs of other sides' techs (take the railgun; a cheap rip of the particle cannon, and the plasma weapons being a rip of the FL plasmablasters on the Devastator), but advanced upon.
Now, if NEXUS had any sense, he'd work on ways to toughen the armour of his hovering tanks It's what I'd do.

Yeah, Cabal revealed his betrayal at absolutely the wrong time.

And yeah CABAL did do his betrayal at the wrong time.. at least Yuri had an army behind him and several dominators worth before he switched to his own side.
