the common answer on these forums to that question is: it's done when it's done. what it means is that we (or most of us) mod for the fun of it, and release dates for mods are seldom specific :)

you can of course ask when the creator expects to have finished the mod, but this can always change :p

First off just like the thank RangerAragorn for the interest in my mod. It always make modding easier when you know there are others who want the same sort of changes in the game as I. I would like to sadly inform you though that Isildur will not be in my mod mainly because he does not fit into the scope of what I am trying to achieve.

As far as a timetable is concerned for my mods release, it is sadly hard to say. I have plenty of other things happening at the moment, and sadly moding has been put on the back burner. But that is not to say that it won't get done, cause I still plan to have it finished. Just saying if you are expecting me to turn around tomorrow with a demo of it, going to be disappointed. But I will try my best to be prompt, and the hope is to get it out before the expansion comes out. I will definately keep you all informed on my progress, especially people who are interested in the final product.

So want to once again thank RangerAragorn for the interest, as well as anyone else who is following my progress. Sorry it's been kinda quiet on the thread, but at the moment hit a bit of a rough patch. Just keep your eyes open and will try my best to get this done before you know it. Ok?

Thanks again ...

Padraigh

I'm looking forward to playing this mod, i like RPG elements in RTSs and this would be perfect to complement a fellowship RPG campaign.

always glad to support and it's ok that isildur won't be in the mod but atleast you're making that change to aragorn's skin because i like the ranger outfit better than the king outfit and if you hope to have this mod done before the expansion then you better get moving because it's coming soon

I am still alive too! Just been kinda of quiet as of late. Came to the conclusion that perhaps trying to create all the powers for all the Fellowship all at once was a little overwhelming and demoralizing for me, so I have decided to start from the beginning again and this time center around one character at a time.

The first character (Biased as it is) will be Boromir because well, he was my favourite character in the movies anyways. Thus far I have about 15 Abilities/Powers designated for him. Perhaps it is a little too much, perhaps not. We shall soon find out.

But yeah I am hoping this new technique ends up working better then my first attempt, but also have a fair bit also going on, so hopefully I will have time to work on this.

But yeah feel free to keep this thread alive! And yes I think we were all a little upset when we learned Peter Jackson will not be doing The Hobbit! -hides tears-

But ok, thanks for checking up and have a great day all!

There is no exact program. Go to the site and click on the tools page.

well, when PJ won't make the hobbit, somebody died alittle

... Wasn't that me?

Anyways, it's great to see you still kicking around, PM Steel. Your use of capitalization and punctuation is a god send.

ok i downloaded the tools and now.............................I don't know how to use them so i'm SOL

Now you just shift over to the Tutorials sections of the site. They're designed for BfME I, but coding is (for the most part) the same between the two games. Modelling and skinning is largely the same as well (though we can't edit BfME II animations yet...).

Not the new ones, no. Try opening any Arwen animation in Gmax/Renx/3DSMax yourself and see what I mean.

Please somebody prove me wrong here.

There is some animations that load fine in a modeling program. The summoned dragon and porters are two examples I think.

Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

Well forget about what i said i realised i can't mod i tried but i SUCK :) so we just need to wait for this mod to come out and hopefully it does good and, Theodred made some new Fellowship mods trying to fix the problems with Strider (that is the only thing i pretty much care about) but it didn't work still so please PM Steel have this mod be a decent mod that has a working Strider

PM Steel went back to Canada for christmas, i dont know if he has internet access.
And the reason my Strider didnt work for you is probably because your graphics were too low.
For the modders reading this, what i mean is i just used a skin upgrade on Faramir to get my Strider, but some people were unable to see him.
I think very low graphics doesnt support the skin upgrade...
