yes you're right about the Paths of the dead.
I'm dutch and i just didn't know if it was the same name.

There's is no difference in translation there, so being Dutch doesn't have anything to do with it. :tongevil:

well i wasn't sure if i'd translate it it would be the right name :ninja:

*in an attempt to get back on-topic*
I was thinking, maybe Rohan's Elven Wood power could be tampered with-aesthitically (sp?), that is.
What I mean, is it possible to remove the trees that come with the power, but leave the tall grass? That's more suited to Rohan's nature, imho.
But then again, I know nothing of modding, so what I'm saying could be interpeted as heresy :p

HERESY!!!!!!!!!! HERETIC!!!!!!!!!!
:p

I don't know, it sounds like it would make sense, but if you did do it, then you should rename it to "Fields of Rohan" or something.

Wow, when I read that, the image of the crowd of Grunts from the Halo 2 opening cinematic came to mind :p
But yeah, 'bout the name...that might need to be changed as well..

I don't know, it sounds like it would make sense, but if you did do it, then you should rename it to "Fields of Rohan" or something.

That could be done, if Celeglin can be stuffed when he comes back. Just make it the same strawish looking skin (skin?) that appears in the Rohirrim summon and call it Fields of Rohan (or something similar, 'Rohan's Pasture' maybe?) as you said.

About Erkenbrand, I think we have discussed his abilities before, somewhere in this thread. Anyway, I came up with something like this:

Erkenbrand

Cost - 2500 (about the same as Aragorn's, maybe less)
Threat Classification - Hero (duh)
Description - highish damage and armour (more than Aragorn's), moderate speed and attack rate, no stealth, infantry only
Other - starts at level 3

Level 1 - leadership to nearby Rohan infantry (attack/defense/both bonus, maybe fear immunity?)
Level 3 - 'Red Shield'; slight increase in defense and armour for a short amount of time (he had a red shield, did he not?)
Level 5/6 - 'Black Horn of the Westfold'; basically like Boromir's 'Horn of Gondor' ability, maybe tweaked a bit
Level 7/8 - 'Lord of the Westfold'; 'King's Favour' with a different name (and maybe a slightly smaller radius)

I was also thinking of a summon as well, seeing as Aragorn can summon the Dead, but that would be too much of a cliché. Could still be done though.

Oh no, double post! *Dramatic organ chord in the background* Just had an idea, insignificant though it is: could Theoden's 'Glorious Charge' be renamed to 'Forth Eorlingas'? I know, it's being a bit picky, but Celeglin renamed the Tower Guard to Fountain Guard didn't he? I don't know where EALA got Glorious Charge from, and Forth Eorlingas suits it a bit more.

Conversation's been slow lately. :D

I see. But I'm surprised that they (EALA) thought of that and put that in instead of Forth Eorlingas. Meh, it's EALA we're talking about...:D I mean, look what they did to B4ME II.

I'd rather not :w00t:
I didn't know that the Tower Guard were renamed...I'll have to check that out.
And as for Theoden...anything that buffs Rohirrim is fine by me :D

You could move Aragorn and Gimli to Gondor and add Erkenbrand to Rohan.

Are Rumil and Orophin going to be recruitable heros for Rhovanion or are they only going to be used in that one mission?

Would also be possible to give Gondor Knights of Dol Amroth and (maybe) Imrahil? I liked those guys in the books and I was sad not to see them in the movie...

Theres all my ideas for the moment.

hm, I don't know... since Legolas is already out of the 3 hunters, I think it could be cool to have Gimli on Rohan, and Aragorn on Gondor... I mean, it feels like he did more work with the Rohirrim than the Gondorians :good: And it would be nice to have them all separated for a change... ;)

He actually led Dwarves to Minas Tirith where they re-built the gate and restored decaying parts of the city once Sauron went bye-bye, but it all depends on what Celegin wants. :good:

wow....

Just so you know, Aglarond is behind Helm's Deep ;)

After the war, Gimli the Dwarf, who fought in that battle, established a colony of Durin's folk there. Aglarond lay in front of a huge and very beautiful cave system, which proved irresistible to him. Gimli become known as 'the Lord of the Glittering Caves', although this new realm was presumably under the overlordship of Thorin Stonehelm, his kinsman and heir of the lordship of all Durin's Folk. The dwarves of Aglarond restored the Hornburg following the War of the Ring, and it became a fortress they shared with the Rohirrim

:good: See my point? :D

I just a(nother) thought...maybe the bridges from the Lothlorien mission in the vanilla edition could be used in the Rhovanion Elves' castle? They'd be uesful in creating choke points for the enemy's entrance...at least, that's how I see it, lol.
EDIT: I think that I've found some grounds to base my suggestion on...Thranduil's Hall(s?) were only accessible by a bridge, and so was Lothlorien-well, rope bridges, but that's beside the point...and their not really suited to gameplay...moving on-maybe the Rhovanion castle could be surrounded by an impassable-for either side-river/body of water, and there were 1-4 small bridges-by small I mean only one battalion's width wide-placed over it? That way you've still got defences, but their not walls, nor are they without defence.
Cheers,

Oh...I haven't seen that before. I knew he (Gimli) settled in Aglarond with other Dwarves but I didn't know the rest.

Either way, I'll still mod Gimli into the Gondor faction, so its cool either way. :good:

well i cant imagine elves+axes=? i thot axes were reserved for dwarves. and i think all elite units should have something like frodos mithril mail ability, like a random chance to block an arrow attack or something with a shield. or a parry.

Rumil and Orophin most likely will stay as campaign-only heroes, though I did suggest to Celeglin that Haldir could summon them like Celeborn does Celeglin. We'll see.

As for the Knights of Dol Amroth...put it this way: you'll probably have to pay Celeglin to include them. :good: They're not that high up on the priorities list. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see what Celelgin can do with them as well.

I just a(nother) thought...maybe the bridges from the Lothlorien mission in the vanilla edition could be used in the Rhovanion Elves' castle? They'd be uesful in creating choke points for the enemy's entrance...at least, that's how I see it, lol.

That first idea reminds me of the Elvenstar mod, how the Elven castle had its entrance as a bridge of similar design. Thranduil's Hall(s?) is a good way to implement that; I'm sure Celeglin will think of that. :xd: The encircling river idea sounds awesome, just depends on if it can be done. Though I recall Celeglin saying that he will use the current Elven base in TEA for the Rhovanion castle. But you never know, it could be implemented.

*Mumbles something about hating stereotypes with Elves and Dwarves* ;) Sorry, anyway, this was mentioned somewhere within these 50 or so pages: there was a mention of a force (don't ask me how big) of Elves armed with axes sent to attack...somewhere, I forgot. If anyone knows more about this (I should see a lot of raised hands here :D) can they comment?

I just had an idea while going through the earlier pages.

Is it possible to add a power to Rhovanion that summons a group of Huorns or something?
