... on topic 'Tower Hills', some info concerning landscape and morphology:

The Tower Hills and the Hills of Evendim

Tolkien noticeably chose to call these hills, rather than downs, even though at first glance at the pictorial Lord of the Rings map they appear to fall into the same pattern of concentric rings. Even so, it is evident that the Hills of Evendim were much more extensive than any of the downlands. The 'hatchured' maps in the History are more revealing, and clearly shows the more complex topography. As these hills lay near the Blue Mountains, they may have been folded rather than merely the product of erosion of sedimentary rock layers. The Tower Hills, although not more widespread, must also have been rather steep. In his dream, Frodo had to struggle to reach the White Towers on the ridge top.

... the name of the 'Tower Hills' in sindarin is Emyn Beraid.

I don't know if this is helpful at all ... the topography and geomorphology of Middle-earth are rather obscure disciplines of lore. :p

That's sounds really useful actually, do you have an internet source?

I think i've stuck to that pretty well with tower hills. They're pretty steep but i definitely didn't want it to be too cliffy. ;)

the texturing's looking better too ^_^, still a bit to go though :p

Are there any updates to the 'to do' list?

Well as the focus is now on the Dwarves, that area is now the focus.

Desolation of Smaug
Dalelands

There's still loads of others, but most are Eriador or Rhovanion based.

Nice. Paths need some work judging by the overhead, but more than good enough.

Awesome. 5 player as well :D Very barren look, balanced, and a great loading pic and minimap too - saves me some time :p. PM it to me.

Haven't quite finished with the other two, been busy and TDH stopped working with WB and have been reformatting too. Once everything is back up and running I'll

ERYN VORN (4)

Posted Image

The Eryn Vorn lies on the tip of Minhiriath, and is inhabited by a few secretive hunter-folk.

Number of Players: 4
Starting Positions: Castles
Expansion Points: 3
Settlements: 8
Lairs: Warg and Troll

The mini-map isn't great sorry, but there aren't a lot of features/terrain that can be mapped...
I'd show you a zoomed out WB view too, but most of the trees won't show up, so it doesn't really capture the map well :good:

Also, i left Dalelands for now, because i thought it'd be cool to include some of the Dale buildings RA made if they weren't going to be used in TDH..?

_Haldir_, is there a chance that the non-RA'd versions of those maps will be released to the public? Just out of curiosity because they're amazing. And I find myself wanting to fight on one of them. Now.

But since I can't I guess I'll have to wait.

I used to be {AE}Manveru, if that rings a bell.

Haha thanks, yeah probably not until TDH is released :p i think m@tt was going to tweak a couple of them as well, so they'll probably be better in the mod release.

Even if it is after TDH is released it would still be nice to be able to play them in other mods.

Yeah i was thinking it'd be cool to release all the TDH maps as a separate map pack, but that's not up to me :p
If that doesn't happen then i'll definitely release my own map pack.
