...The Journey doesn't end here; death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise...
...Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder...
...Stand, Men of the West! Stand and wait! This is the hour of doom... ~ Gandalf the White, The Return of the King

Probably mid-to-late game for all factions, I reckon.
Perhaps in some cases some minifactions come earlier than other like say in Isengard the dunlandings are an early game shock troop minifaction, while in the case of Mrikwood, the rivendell elves (or "Rivendelves"), as I call them are a mid-to-late game addition

Gondor:
Ithillien = Mid-Late
Dol Amroth = Late
North Rangers thingy = Mid-late
Mirkwood:
Rivendell = Late
Lorien = Late
Beorings = Late
Mordor:
Rhun = Late
Dol Guldor = Mid
Minas Morgul = Mid-Late
so, my point is.... they can't, or atleast shouldn't, make one of each... also, with the special things these buildings do, their cost should increase, so that would move them more to late game anyways....

what are huorns exact?
Basically they are ents, but according to Treebeard they were more tree-like than ents.
Unless I am wrong, Huorns are walking trees, but they are only able to walk when they are commanded by The Ent Shepherds. They appeared at Helm's Deep in the night, so they could mash Saruman's Army to tiny bits.
they could be set to apear as a regular tree and be used as an ambush/spy unit
Brilliant Idea! They are basically Trees when they are Dormant. When they wake, even if they cant move, they can still fight.
The intent of He has Gathered all Evil to Him was to allow, as the guest said, to allow mordor to recruit a choice selection of other evil units/minifaction units for a short time. For example, it would allow Mordor access to some minifaction units for a time, even if they don't posess that particular minifaction.
.
Hi sorry to change the subject; do carry on though, but still I'm pleased to see my question answered Nertea, for a minute I thought that if I were wrong Mordor would not be in my opinoin that well balanced because Isengard has the Balrog now, and Gondor has Aragorn who can summon the army of the dead.
There is one problem though, Mirkwood has no seige wepons like Gondor's trebuchet, a shame really the only anti-structure power is Roots Wrath
On This topic, I know Celeglin's mod had elvish siege confusion. Why not add his Galadriel to the Lorien Minifaction...If he is ok with it.
Will it have something to do with the Thirrad? Like they infiltrate the castle and open the gate somehow? (please say yes!)
Ive worked on my share of mods, and i do have to say...As cool as that would be, it would also be really tricky to do. If RA did do that, it would also work really well with Harad. Thier culture is one of Espionage and Sabotage.
Btw, sorry if im speaking too much. Ive been grounded most of the month and im finally free!

I have a rather off-topic question. How much do you think the mini-faction would cost to build? I mean, if it was cheap, the ability to get all sorts of units quickly would kind of destroy the variety between different factions during the early-to-mid-game. For example, the Mirkwood main faction is built around stealth and archers, and a lack of heroes. If it could build mini-factions early, it would then start to rely on elite infantry and cavalry, which kind of nullifies the uniqueness of Mirkwood. To summarize, I hope that mini-factions are a late game strategy, meant to be used only when you have a surplus.
I do not think that ALL the minifactions should be late game. But, i do think that the price should alter a bit. Take Mirkwood for example. Lets say towards the middle of the game, i decide i need more heroes. I have a little bit of spare cash, so i decide to buy the Rivendell Minifaction. It was my first minifaction, so it costs 5000 resourses. Then, a little later, lets say my Melee force needs some work. At that point, i would want the Beornings minifaction. It my second Minifaction, so it cost me 10,000 resourses, 5000 more than last time since its my second minifaction. Eventually, im beginning to advance, but say Mordor has got the Minas Morgul Minifaction and i want to take them out from afar. At that point, id go for the Lorien Minifaction. It would cost me 20,000 resourses to buy since it is my third, and last, minifaction.
With that systemof price increase, I think it can work fairly well to keep Factions from relying on elites too early, but not bring them out at the very end of the game. It also lets you choose which minifactions you want the most, instead of having to wait for hours trying to get a really expensive minifaction

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Scaling minifaction prices is actually a really good idea. That, combined with a variable minifaction cost in general would work well. For example, as an original concept, instead of building a lot of uruks right away, isengard could buy the relatively cheap dunland minifaction and have a early game strategy close to mordor's, with cheap infantry.
That's exactly what I mean! Mini-factions should correspond in price and strategy with their respective main-factions! The pricing thing is a good idea. Having Dunland as a late game mini would be useless.

Even if Celeglin was okay with it, I don't think siege for Mirkwood will be using heroes. They will instead use Thirrad with rope-climbing, and a second as-of-yet undisclosed means of siege.
And I'm sorry about the double post. I couldn't figure out how to edit in a quote into my previous one.

Mirkwood's siege is still being worked on. It's going to be a rather... unique bit of work, I tell ya.

(Btw, Celeglin, Nice work on the Elven alliance. Your Celeglin Hero accually had me fooled into thinking he was accually part of the books.)

You say they WILL use them? Are you part of thier team (im not one to talk. Im not in thier team either.) Thirrad might just be stealthy archers. In my opinion, the Thirrad climbing and opening gates would be cool, and something Harad might consider, but it would be tricky to code. Also, in my opinion, It is a little unfair. After All, if Thirrad control your gates, how do you stop elves from immediately storming you?
