Yeah, that too.Plus they'd need to pay royalties to Tolkien Enterprises
...The Journey doesn't end here; death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise...
...Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder...

Hence, the Trebuchet loses its ability to move then fire immediately from the original BFME1.

Neither do I, I just saw my cousin playing on it once and it had a similar concept, except it did it automatically, I think. Thanks by the by, though i am not familiar to age of empires
Yay, I was right! Good to hear that Gondor now has the best ranged siege weapon.Yes, because of its sheer size, the new Gondor Trebuchet requires you to manually "undeploy" for it to move (but cannot attack) and "deploy" on the battlefield into a stationary mode to fire (but be rendered immobile).
Hence, the Trebuchet loses its ability to move then fire immediately from the original BFME1.

Okay question. Im sure this had came up in the past, but im too lazy to look for it. How will the Gondor Trebuchets work? On the site you can see an unassembled trebuchet pulled by horses. Do you have to build a trebuchet, wagon it over to a spot, and assemble it on the spot to siege?
gondor trebuchet...blah...did anyone notice that this thing needs completly new anims???

I think it'll work similar to Age of Empires: you have to recruit (build) one, it comes out on a wagon, then when you go out on a siege you set it down in a particular spot, and either it will have a build/demolish button (telling it to construct/deassemble itself), or it will do so automatically i.e. you tell it to attack something and it will just go over there, get into range and assemble itself and fire. Something like that, I hope.
I know those trebuchets well.
I would like to publicy anounce that I'm totaly insane.
I'm the little man living in your ceiling fan. I like it up here.

Sophisticated.
I've also seen the Mordor catapults, they're probably weaker than the Gondor trebuchet, and they are pushed into battle by trolls. So they can attack you quicker but they are weaker in strength but probably good with power.

Good. Not all heroes start at level one
Yep, it all balances out.I think it'll work similar to Age of Empires: you have to recruit (build) one, it comes out on a wagon, then when you go out on a siege you set it down in a particular spot, and either it will have a build/demolish button (telling it to construct/deassemble itself), or it will do so automatically i.e. you tell it to attack something and it will just go over there, get into range and assemble itself and fire.
