I've found out what causes this and am in the process of fixing it.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Wow, that is an awesome map, or at least the fortress. :p I know that you were gonna fix it so that it had more snow, so I can't wait to see the next version. The fortress is amazing by the way. ;)

If I did a ruined vrsion of it where would be the fun in it? Besides a stronghold's a stronghold when it's not in ruins. Right now I'm working on a Carn Dum and it's not gonna be ruins.

it can be ruins and still fortress...you can lower walls health so it starts as damaged and player have to repair it if he wants to use them etc. that would be kinda fun to play IMO.

If you want me to do that I can, but the player will have to spend a lot of money reparing it, I said in the introduction that it's been rebuilt. By the way, how do you increase the initial amount of money in created maps?

well, this is the "ask the modders"-thread, but there is so much discussion about maps in here that i just asked a question that came to my mind.
But i couldn't stop the map discussion.... :p

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

in the newer pics of the trebuchet, it seems that the rolling/winding thing is not a part of the trebuchet. why is that? i mean, if that section isnt connected to anything and is lying on the ground, how is it suppose to pull and hold back the weight of the rock and the weight?

That's a good question, but the only answer I can find is that they didn't need to go into that extent of detail. The only way that I can think of doing it is if there was a whole platform underneath, but no cart that size can carry that thing. Have you played RotK on console? If so, do you remember the level in Minas Tirith (with Gandalf) how you're fighting off the orcs on the walls and how you have to destroy the Siege Towers? That trebuchet is what it was like in the movies, and that was basically the only time we see it; we don't see it rolling on the ground being drawn by a horse, but it's still possible. Unless the team can give us an answer, this is the only one I see for it. *shrugs shoulders*

:) This is a pretty stupid question, but I'll answer it anyway. With all the amount of content in this mod, and with all the features that have been redone over and over (which can be blamed on the perfectionism of the team :cool2:), and the fact that the team doesn't work on it full time, it's no wonder that it's taking this long. They haven't released anything yet, so that would tell you that they're not finished.

Is there any tactical difference between the Minas Morgul and Rhun minifactions? In other word what adventages and disadvantages to they get?

Well, from what I can gather, Minas Morgul gets better infantry compared to the main-faction, but these are still fairly cheap. They also bring a variety of heroes and a strong cavalry arm to the battlefield. Where Mordor is more based around siege, Minas Morgul is like the ground support. So all in all, they're like a second Mordor; cheap and numerous, but they have better soldiers. They're highly offensive.

Rhun, however, produces the best infantry for Mordor (I think) and also adds another strong cavalry force to the army. Their soldiers are like three times better than orcs, so they're hard-hitting, tough and durable warriors. So basically they're the cream of Mordor's crop of soldiery. They're good all-rounders (offense, defense, and everything in between :)).

Edit: don't fully take this as an answer (I could be wrong for all I know); this is more like my opinion than cold, hard fact.

I've been with RA for a year and a half now, and the reason I'm staying is because I love what I'm doing with the rest of the team, and like to push the engine's limits even further every time a list of ideas is drawn :p

Been forced to brainstorm quite a lot of times due to Bard's inventiveness.
For the record, I actually have a file in my RA stuff called "Challenges.txt". It gathers all the stuff that I haven't gotten round coding yet, but will do at one point, be it for the original release or at a later point.
