Hi i'm Marine (i'm not a real one). I love the moddb profile and the new ingame pics! The storyline sounds very interesting with Taiwan and all.

I have a couple suggestions that you can put in the mod if you want them:

The Humvee EFOGM anti-armor missile system

An idea for an individual upgrade for the standard infantry unit could have it be equipped with a light mortar. This can be used for any side.

Also is the TOS-1 Buratino planned for the Russia side. The TOS-1 is definitely the most awesome artillery next to the MLRS  . (You can tell I like American equipment). Also though it has not been confirmed in real life, fuel air explosive rounds as a secondary ammo type would be cool.

Well that's just my two cents. You can take them or leave them.

Thanks, i will think of including EFOGM, probably tier 3 antitank?

Are you speaking of 80-100mm infantry mortar that is being operated by the team of 2? This is a hard question, i was thinking of other way to implement it, for AFRF only, as individual unit. When making RTS game with real toys you should grab every opportunity possible to add unique elements to each side.

Also is the TOS-1 Buratino planned for the Russia side.

It is already in our unit list, but recently i was thinking if we need it at all. By the way, it's not just planned, it's already in service, they used em in chechnya. AFRF is already going to have infantry mortars for tier1 and MSTA for tier2. In tier3 you'll have Smerch, though it's going to be more of a superweapon than artillery vehicle.

Also though it has not been confirmed in real life, fuel air explosive rounds as a secondary ammo type would be cool.

It has been confirmed. Fuel air rounds are primary ammo for TOS, along with incendiary. TOS stands for Heavy Flamethrower System. As i said, i am thinking, should we include it, probably we shall discuss it here further?

What I meant with the Buratino was that was it planned to be in the mod, I am well aware of their use in Chechyna. Glad you like the EFOGM idea.

I have a couple more questions I want to ask but I didn't want to make another thread so I'll just post them in here:

1. Will tanks have coaxial machine guns mounted on them to be more effective against infantry?
2. Will tanks be able to launch smoke grenades?
3. Will artillery and tanks have realistic ranges?

And I'm not sure if this is possible to code (I know nothing about modding), but it would be cool if tanks became immobilized at a certain health level and you would have to call in repair units to get it working again. Or you could evacuate it with a repair heli back to base (as in the game Act of War if you've ever played it.)

1. Yes, but not too much effective. Will play around it though, probably final version will not have them.
2. Yes.
3. Yes and no, and no again. To give em realistic ranges means to allow to fire across all the map. Tanks are going to have ranges more similar to ones from other RTS games, probably a bit longer than in C&CG. As for artillery - we plan to make a difference in the range of tier1 and tier2 artillery, tier2 ranges are going to be about a half of those from Act of War HT. The only tier3 artillery unit Smerch is going to have AoWHT range.
4. It is possible to code, but we are thinking of it. It probably could cripple the gameplay.

Keep in mind that all balance aspects are most likely to change, for example artillery ranges could be nerfed to fit the proper gameplay.

BTW when we discuss the mod features i always tell Dexter to abstract his mind from Generals engine and imagine that everything is possible to implement. So do I offer to everyone in here: try to imagine that everything is possible to mod on Sage and suggest even "impossible" features =)

Here's mine: Night battles. Special maps on a smaller scale than the regular, at night. Things like flares and headlamps could be implemented in order to find the enemy.

Please add more detail, your idea has to be further developed - it is too raw for now.

We could think of altering game experience in night time, not with flares and headlamps though, but with IR sights, different stealth mechanics, and active/passive modes. We could do this, yes, i like the idea.

I have one more question:

Will rifle infantry be able to be upgraded to have a grenade launcher which works like the flash-bang grenade but it is effective against infantry and light vehicles as well as for clearing buildings.

Some upgrade ideas:

1. AG-17- Gives the BTR-90 the AG-17 grenade launcher.

2. TNA-4-3- Advanced navigation system for T-90, T-90A and T-80AT. Increases speed.

3. AT-11 rounds- Gives the T-90 and T-80AT AT-11 rounds. This ATGM is perfect for killing tanks.

These are just some more of my many ideas.

1. AG-17- Gives the BTR-90 the AG-17 grenade launcher.

If you mean AGS-17, then similar grenade launcher (AGS-30) is going to appear in mod, but i will say no more, since this aspect of gameplay is top secret by now

2. TNA-4-3- Advanced navigation system for T-90, T-90A and T-80AT. Increases speed.

Actually T-90 are equipped with similar systems only since 1999 (T-90A), and we have decided just to include it into "Vladimir" global upgrade. By the way i was thinking of horde bonus as a more proper ingame reflection of BMS operation.

3. AT-11 rounds- Gives the T-90 and T-80AT AT-11 rounds. This ATGM is perfect for killing tanks.

I am not familiar with nato designations, but all Russian tanks are going to have 9M119 missiles by default. If you have objections - share your thoughts.

These are just some more of my many ideas.

Great! Definitely i would like to hear more.

Yes, AT-11 Sniper is the NATO designation for the 9M119 missile.

I'll keep em comin:

1. A mounted grenade launcher (M203) upgrade for US infantry which would be exactly like ZH flashbangs but with a different name and explosion.

2. Javelin ATGM as the US AT infantry.

3. WZ-10? (China late-game attack helicopter)

4. A flamethrower infantry for Russia armed with RPO.

I would say flamethrower infantry for China. Too many reasons - both Russia and China have flamethrowers, but China seems to field em more intensely, AFRF already has too much infantry in our mod, and finally - in C&CG China was toying with flame, and i guess it would be nice to leave similarities to vanilla counterparts of our armies, where it is possible.

hi there,

you've got a really really NICE mod! especially the textures,, i like it,, really realistic,,

but i would like to suggest you to make one more additional side, the UK.

They've got one of the most powerfull future firepower aswell,, cvf, typhoons, astute, type 45, jsf, apache, are just a few of'em.

it would be an excellent mod if it has those 4 countries,, :p

UK is unable to wage war with such military giants as US, RF and PRC are. That's all.

Including the new site would mean too much work for us.
