As you guys may have noticed I'm back on the top of the hostee list.
While it isn't really a competition it's a reward and incentive for hard work.
I have worked very hard lately and it's great to be acknowledged.
So when the beta is released it should be worth the effort and I hope everyone likes it.
Now I had better get back to work then.

I also have an update for show as well.
Fresh off the presses I present the new Dol Guldur Citadel.

Scratch modelled by me just now.
dgcitadelrender.jpg

It varied a lot from my original design but that's ok the barbs sort of give it a tree branch feel which goes well with the DG thing.

I don't like the glow in the render. It's distracting and makes it difficult to notice details.

I put the glow in so you can see it against the black backdrop.
1 of the drawbacks of the Black and White theme.

Maybe use white background for dark objects and black for lighter objects

The door could use some more work. I like the model though.

I've been busy lately so work on Lone Wolf has slowed but it has not stopped.
So I decided to remake the leadership buffs...again.

These are the best ones yet.

I have whacked them all into one render but will show screenshots of them sometime soon.

I haven't labelled them so it's up to you to figure out which ones are which.
Some may look familiar others not.
So if you can identify them all.

buffrender.jpg

In other news I'm doing a little work on Rhun tonight on what remains of my night off.
I'll continue to work on the mod when ever I get the time.

I have had contact with DIGI who has been very busy with his studies but will be back modding for the holidays so hopefully I should have some more stuff then.

The beta is delayed indefinitely at the moment while I try and polish things.
A lot of work has been done since the last beta and I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

very cool rad :p

but there's also some news coming from me......

it seems that there's nobody in here who has made Erebor and Dale with LW stuff
so that was my new goal

with other words i'm proud to present you guys the copy of bfme2 Erebor and Dale. but with LW stuff.
i'm almost finished, i only have to add some txt but the scripting work is almost done. the only differences btween Bfme2 Erebor and LW Erebor are:

I have used LW stuff, ofcourse,
The basic enemy is Rhun, with some Mordor orcs,
There are no Harad or Corsair units,
More screeming and fleeing villagers,
Reinforcements are not Elves but Rhovanion woodman and Radssvir,
Dain and Brand will die automatically, because that happened in LOTR history,

Here are some screens: (look at the minimap if you want to see how the map looks like) Mithlond will also be edited

Nice, don't forget those small details like vegetation, crates and other kinds of props to make the map look more realistic and interesting. Also don't forget to mix different ground textures to make it more varied like the stock bfme maps. Good job! :)

Its because your playing on low graphics? That removes props, trees, and a whole bunch of stuff.

Ok nice, since IMO, empty and uninteresting spots or generic spots on a map makes it look unfinished, so I am quite the detail nazi when it comes to maps, but who am I to judge, it all comes down to gameplay

A sort of news update for Lone Wolf.

I have expanded the role of Watchtowers not only do they provide recon of an area, fire on enemies and allows units to be garrisoned, they now also provide economy bonuses to surrounding Econ plot buildings (like Farms,Slaughter Houses etc).
The bonus has a 1000 range,to get an idea of scale for the non coders out there the average rock throw range for a Troll is around 300.

I'm also playing with some other ideas for some time in the future, but you guys will have to wait for that.
:p

Sorry if I am mistaken, I havent played LW or BFME1 for that matter for a long time so please forgive me.

Watchtowers by those towers things that you can build on plots (ie the Gondor one is called build Gondorian Keep and so on)?

Or outposts? Again sorry dont remember much (too much LOTRO in my head along with online classes....)
