Even if I read the instructions (about 5 months ago), I would have no idea what to do. Actually, this is first mod I have actually installed correctly. Everything else got me a game.dat error, it wouldn't load a game, or it did some stupid thing and my entire army would drop dead. Sometimes, some people need real time help.

The target is invalid becuase it simply does not exist. Make sure everything is valid. If you did the full installation of BFME2, your target will be in C:/. If you chose your directory, this will not be much help.

Make sure you put the SEE.big in the correct folder first!
Start --> Run --> %appdata% --> My Battle for Middle-earth II Files. Drag and drop.

Take the shortcut icon (BFME2 - Speacial Extended Edition.ink) and put it on the desktop. Right click properties. Next make sure you put information in the RIGHT BOX! It must have quotations!
The TARGET box should have
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -noshellmap -mod SEE.big
Exactly that. If you don't like that movie at the startup (called the shellmap), keep that -noshellmap command, otherwise remove it.
The START IN box should have
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"

Run the game with that shortcut. To change the icon of the sortcut:
Right click --> Properties --> Change icon. Browse to where ever you have a pic that you like stored. Be sure to change the 'file of type' to ALL FILES. A nice place to find icons is in your BFME 1 cursors folder
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™\data Pick and choose!



I can explain if you would like on why this works, but only if you register. I'm sorry it took so long to reply, put it took me a good 20min to write this.

Didn't see your last two...

You should have one see.big, and a whole lot of other things called see.big.

This pic (attchment) should show what is in your folder.

Don't worry about being ackward. I did the smae thing when I started.

Sorry about the distortion. I didn't expect it do that. Put if you can't red 'em count 'em. See(haha) if you have the right amount.

The Application Data folder is normally hidden, but do this to find it.

Ehm Clone... - you do realise that you havnt installed Beta III right? It's 88 Mb??? Not 67! That.s beta II (v1.1). How come you stick with last version? If that is your desktop??

Wait, forget all that, now I got it all the way you said, but it says the target box isn't valid. Perhaps i'm doing something wrong? I'll check.

With the see.big looking like a book is okay. I happen to have the program that reads .big's installed.
Oh sorry, there is only one see.big. The other are called see.doc,etc (my fingers slipped )

So you have RAR? Good. Click and drag it onto the desktop. Then drag it into the correct folder.

Umm... I recall telling you that it was 88mb, so maybe I didn't save the download. EDIT: I looked. I have the right one installed. I redownloaded, and deleted the old one.

Capn- look up at the top of page, three replys down. I have a tutorial explaining it. You'll have to change it match my tutorial.
