I've seen a quite similar thing in another game, but the units shouln't vanish! More like this, the dig in gettin stealthed and they recive less damage
And just to make sure that everybody recognize this is the Suggestion topic for the normal Contra, for Remix there is anotherone, and pls don't start spaming the same ideas in both Contra suggestions and in the remix suggestion topic!

Its not a bad idea, Kinda like the zerg out of strarcraft, i keep thinking about the game limitations but we have pop up patriot turrets so i guess there is a way to make the units dig in.

that would make thealth better than it is now, making his tactics more based on anbush

Generals isn't a game for that it has never been. The ability to make a good ambush is very very limited I think!
I've seen it better in a very very old game, I forgot the name, but there you could lay an ambush that worked. I just loved that!

i think it is possible, becouse some mod i have played has an nuklear missile with 6 warheads so it can be possible. :D

There is a deiffernce between a multiple warhead missile and a cannon that fires 6 shells and these shells hit the target in the same time.
Even in real life it's very difficult!
And I don't think the engine could do it, or could you imagine it? And the hole thing only works at long ranges, cause every single shell needs it's own flight path! The last shell must catch up with the first shell and so on!
No, I don't think it would work, but artillery with cluster ammo could be made I think.

Its not quite the same thing, but I've been thinking of some kind of revolver style heavy artillery, or a slowly rotating gattling style artillery. not fast like a machine gun, but faster than standard artillery . I'm not sure what to make it exactly, but I've get an idea of what it should be.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Like have the sort of 'carpet bombing' paint on the ground and it opens up with a few shells.
Even though thats alot like China's off-map artillery.....

Or like the automated field artillery?

The Missions and Challenges don't work with the mod. I'd love to add them back in, but we need a good mapper/scripter to help convert the maps over to the mod.

hrmm... Revolver Arty huh?
Maybe for seems kinda like a GLA thing...
Maybe give it to Asslt. gen as a replacement for that
generic Arty. or maybe have it be an upgrade or gen power...?

Revolver artil is kinda cool will be nice to actuly see the model tho, it could look uber crap or great.

and i don't want the assult gen to get auto loaders >.<

how does the GLA get the technolige for auto loaders?
