I've got the idea that Demo General can only make his nuke truck after capturing a nuke bunker which is to be found in most of the maps (we could edit the maps too) and nuke General can make a MIRV silo when he captures that - MIRV needs normal nuke so don't replace it... yet.

Not going to happen teh demo gens nuke truck is his super unit, if u did this all super units would need something to be captured for balancing. And not ALL maps have nuke bunkers and we have NO mapper so they can't be edited and besides it would be ALOT of maps.
Nuke mirv missiles in remix V3 is an upgrade done via the nuke silo, expensive and long research time.

Again dropzone idea is cool but this would mean 1 new units designed for all genersl that they can not build for that to work. And the random unit idea i doubt can be done.

I think it is possible because I saw it done in a mod called Boss Generals, and it is not for all generals it is its faction. Like USA gets a super Crusader tank, China gets a heavy tank & etc.

random units CAN be done. it uses the same behavior as the sathack3 randomizer.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

About that idea with the drop pad, I really like the one where you get a unit you can't produce we could call on the front line, it has to be flown in from the mother land
And about slowpoke's sug I don't really like this because sth would have to be done about all gens then!




Well, they've done it with the China Nuke, Flame and the GLA Stealth faction: Small Superweapons.

Yeah, small superweapons for several factions would be nice.
Also a super-unit for factions as well. Toxin and Super Weapon are the only ones I can think of right now...

maby USA shud get an veicle that can upgrade to get som bether weapons like an better mahine gun, long range misile luncer or better load capasety but loses the abiliti to shoot out.

anyway. With all this talk of drop pads.
Maybe a new tech building. (If you can get a mapper on board)
here's the deal.
What ever faction captures the pad would get infantry dropped instead
of a tank. Like 5 soldiers and 5 rockets per 5 mins

or a new building for china.
here's the deal.
say Inf. china gets an infantry drop pad.
It drops 5 veteran minigunners and 5 veteran tank hunters every 4 mins
and Tank China gets a Tank Drop pad.
It drops 5 veteran battlemasters every 4 mins.

Woh i say no, i could build an army of infantry in the space of 5mins and it would still be very cheep as infantry in Remix is cheep and fast to build to make them usful ^_^

Well for the drop barraks & war factory could be smaller or more temporary look like tents or garages.

..... welll god damn i blame the monkeys, its there fault i got mixed up :dry:
but still 5 mins for that troops even with out remix u could still build more infantry in that time and realitivly cheep still. (maybe not as cheepr or fast as remix but still):p

Actualy, an infantry drop CAN be made useful... its just a matter of how many infantry, how often. Even in Remix, enough free infantry on a regular timer can e extreamly valuable.

Worth note, I've been planning on an infantry drop pad for infantry general from the start. The exact numbers are still in the planning, but they will be useful.

What about adding a small drop pad to his command center, where he gets reeinforcements from the beginning, but they are getting more if you buy tactical escalation/ getting promoted for example!

Creator, how bout making infantry slightly smaller for more realistic gameplay. Or make all buildings, tanks and other non-infantry units bigger so infantry size will be just right?  :dry:

I don't want to make infantry too small. Yes, it will not be realistic, but units have to be big enough for player to see and easily control them. Units that are smaller than mouse cursor is suxx.


Too small can be a problem, but I've found the .85 scale quite nice. Its significantly smaller than the default scale, but still large enough to select.

I forgot which one (original/contra/remix) but you could line a half dozen troopers on the broad side of the crusader, and I thought that was prety accurate.

Well mapping is..... Intresting... I got a good 'skeleton' sort of map, just two bases and a couple supply docks. But then trying to code the AI. "uuuhhh... Crap"
Yea.... Good luck with that.

Mapping is ok, if the WB wouldn't suck that much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And about infantry sitting on tanks, I don't think it's really possible as you may like to have it!

Infantry sitting on the side of tanks to get around is cool but in combat thats just plain stupid to do, you would have no ear drums left and maybe get your head knocked of from the cannon moving round.

And i don't think u could code it to make the infantry only capable of being transported by it then needs to get off for attack.... hummm
Maybe if u code it like a troop crawler to oder the tank to attack the tank attacks tbu teh troops get off as if they was exiting the troopcrawler, same type of code right?

But anyways i don't like this idea the infantry is too big and would look weird on tanks sides. But i thought i voice all aspsects i could think off.

Infantry shouldn't sit on tanks.
1) SNIPERS! Why not paint shoot me on your helmet too.
2) Why did we build APC's anyway?
3) Opps! A big bump! we don't have seat belts. aww. Now I'm injured.

But! Let me just say that riding on a tank (In real life) is fun as hell.

Now maybe for the GLA you could allow a "Bury Unit" option for stealth.
Depending on the unit it would take a different amount of time and they'd
get to pop up randomly. (At you choosing) so like a sneak attack that
you can set up. (Put a few Scorpions and Techinals at the Choke point
He sees it unguarded and run a few though and then BAM!)
