Why not add some Mortars infantry , it isn't pratic ?
There will be variants for all factions, toxin or gaz mortar for GLA, burning mortar for China Flame, plasma mortar for the laser etc..
For some sides of GLA why not add some stolen aicrafts, like stolen Hind , stolen SU, or simply a kind of toxin bomber
In another part what about Blackbird for US and russian MiG-31 Firefox for China ?
Why do not equip some M16s and AKs with grenade launchers ?

If you add at least 1 or 2 units for some sides ingeniously , i dont think that it will make the unbalance
Why not add new faction like Russia or Europe, lol , if you dont find a place to put the new units ?

toxin and demo have aircrafts already and for assoult and stealth it will jsut unbalance the game

china flame has flame artillery already
laser has plasma artillery
toxin has acid and toxin artillery
every gla mortar buggy can be graded with gas rounds

china has multiple stike aircrafts
i doubt there wil be another faction and the blackbird.. how do you imagine using it?

as creator said.
creating allaround units means you will spam them.
so no grenade lauchers

In Contra, China does contains Mig-31, it is used for Anti-air. As for the Blackbird, it is a Spy plane, I don't think US need it.

Adding same unit (even though with variant) would make each faction all the same. In Contra, each faction is unique. There are already a few types of artillery for each faction. Creator tried to create a unit that is going to be USED in actual battle.

GLA aircraft issue is discussed before. Currently as Arcadian Daze said, Toxin and Demo have aircraft. As a low tech faction, they don't need more (they're terrorists after all).

MiG-31 is used as AA for China and Blackbird is decommissioned long ago (since the end of cold war). 21st century USA uses spy drone and satellite instead of spy plane.

As for M16 or AK, Ranger has M16/M203 already (they can fire flashbang) but China doesn't have underslung grenade as weapon, so no grenade launcher (if you want to use one, there is a dedicated grenadier in Infantry Gen army at rank 3).

Creator also doesn't intend to add new faction.

PS: If you want to play mod with tons of units, I suggest Remix.

Thats a M16 mod 0. Tey can fire granades and flashbangs.

Didnt you mean blackhawk, Contragent? Blackhawk could be used for strategical infantry placement. It might work for SW as she doesnt have any other units to come play with.

such a job is done by the chinook already.

and requests like add the xxx are usually refused.

those requests are for a model not a tactical unit

for robot gen,instead of microwave tank,what about microwave drone,it will have a microwave canon instead of beam,which have aoe and kills inf very fast,and kills 5 garrisoned inf per shot,it have less armor and range then the normal microwave,but a "drony"speed.
it shall have an upgrade which increases aoe and range(to match the original aoe),and a grenade which have 15% chance to kill infantry in vehicles(like neutron),and kill 5 garrisoned inf per shot(so grenade+cannon,all garrisoned inf. dead)

It is impossible to add more factions. The problem is called SAGE.

What do you mean IF there is going to be a Contra 008? Of course there will be, and many things are being changed, and PLENTY of units are being added. Look at the official Contra site to see some of the new units Creator is adding. Another new thing will be a Campaign and a completely re-vamped Generals Challenge.

Also, there will be so many changes in the balance, it will be very different from Contra 007

There will be some new units and some old units are remodeled, You won't be disappointed.

There will be some new units and some old units are remodeled, You won't be disappointed.


Guaranteed you won't be disappointed, and there is more than just re-modeling units. Look at the change logs below:

Yeah :thumbsdownsmiley: it seems like more than 50 % for gameplay, anyway there is a noticeable and radical changes :facepalm:
If you would some complications you should change/remake the animation of some units specially infantry units , like the rangers i hate the way that they hold their weapons when they run, Red guard when they shot with their AK because before it was with a poor old rifle, so the animation is not suitable for AK . GLA perhaps remodel some infantry units such as rebels ( as you did with rangers and red guards )
On the whole the models of the ZH vanilla are very poor they miss the details just see the textures of some units and you will know, Xtremely simple models with low texturing level, however I don't mean make high polygonized models :q:

Animating infantry model is not easy task. Creator simply reskinned them to make them more realistic. And what Red Guard animation you're talking about (example would be nice). From what I see, the Red Guard is firing AK in 3-shot burst. Rebel for each faction got their own model. Demo and Assault got AK74SU while Stealth got shotgun and Toxin got sprayer. I suggest you look more thoroughly at models in Contra.

You know, I've never gotten why the Rebels for Stealth General have those un-stealthy shotguns. If any Rebels should have shotguns Assault General's Rebels should.

Stealth Gen weapons tend to be high power and low ROF so that his units would be able to sneak in and do a lot of damage in a single salvo (then run away). The shotgun (though un-stealthy in real life) is high power and low ROF, allowing the Jihad warrior (he's not called Rebel) to sneak in and do a lot of damage before getting away.

There are several units which are improved with skin and are not shown in change log thread,and some are.Some units will be replaced with new ones which (again) are not shown. Its because they are not finished yet. And creator holds to the last moment to see where and for what they will be used.But i can ensure you,new units (models and skins) are in working process all the time.
Making xtreme hight poly models is not a problem, but not everyone has ultra great connection speed, and pentagons prime pc to ensure stable game with them.

When i say rebels I mean more realistic model
When i say rangers i mean change their walking animation ( when runing with m16)
When i say red guard i mean fire animation ( syncronisation between the animation and the AK shots)
I'm not ask you for crazy or science fiction things, so please be extrovert
