I was thinking for the robot general there should be less drones (as in the ones floating above units), but the ramaining drones have more functions, such as if there was two:

Attack drone - Has laser to shoot down missles, machine gun to fight troops and some antitank missle

Defence drone - Can repair the host as well as self and has a medium range AA weapon

(this could be rather mix and match as the anti missle laser might suit the defence better or as well.. then again this is the contra mod, why not have a super drone floating above units that does everything? too overkill?)


this could help lower that 128 maximum upgrade thing to no? <.<'

I like the drones as they are. It would help a little with the upgrade limit, but really the problem is much bigger than freeing up just a few upgrades here and there. There need to be large scale changes in the handeling of upgrades to make the system work.

I've had some ideas that would work, but they are a little extream and would be alot of work. For now I think Creator and I have each handled it in the way we see most fit.

I don't think after Contra.05 and Remix3 that there will be any more versions... so its not a problem that needs solving right away.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Why not...

1.Make defense not give you rank points only like your tanks.

2.Allow mabye a cheaper MG nest instead of an expensive Patriot so that if you want to rush but not be completely undefened you could still afford.

3.(sorry for this one)have an easy mode just so you can slowly test out different stratageys and not be rushed by a huge army 20 seconds in...

(About 3. Yes I have beaten an enemy at all difficulties but I enjoy a relaxing game of generals every now and then...)

He most likely read it. As far as I know he reads everything on the forum. He hasn't mentioned it to me.

I think nukes nuclear detonator should be removed.

It's cool and all but it just dosn't fit into china at all because suicide is a GLA tactic not a Chinese tactic.

Also why does nuke need resistance to toxin? Its not fair. Infantry dosn't get it and it needs it 100 x more than any other army.

And why does he need super heavy nuke cannons? I can see why stealth needs the scud launcher because it has difficulty destroying defences. But nuke? He has Bertas, Artillery that can fire ridiculously far, Rocket soldiers that fire freaking tactical nukes, awesome aircraft that can pwn any other aircraft in one hit and the icing on the cake is alot of his units get neutron shells. Even his rocket soldiers. So he has no need for super heavy nuke cannons. None.

ya but his dudes have pretty low defence
but,i think hes a little overpowered though...in .005 they took out neutron weaponry

Um... yeah he does have all that stuff, but hes not unstoppable... the heavy nuke cannon is nothing anyway... it has extremely weak armor and a couple of rockets can take care of it... >.<

Nuke detonator dose sute the china side, its not like every unit they have is nuke or suicide. Also china nuke gen dos enot get tonix resistance, they get radiation resistance. Witch makes sence considering alot of the units and buildins when killed spawm radiation out.

ubermedic there is more than 1 defence per side so about the mg nest its not needed.

No.

All suicide units should stay with the GLA. Thats just how the game works. The GLA use sneaky underhanded tactics (Suicide units & stealth) while China uses Overwhelming numbers and fire to defeat its foes NOT suicide units. So it dosn't fit in at all.

He does get toxin restistance. When he gets the resistance to raidiation thing it also says 75% resistance to toxins.

thats a typo. I've seen the code... he only gets radiation resistance.

secondly guest do u know anything about china culture?
I guess no so untill u do don't reply just because in teh game they are portrayed as teams that use hugh numbers and fire to beat there enemys that is only half true.
They do not play fair and can be very underhand, i have even seen properganda videos that show them using nukes before rushing the remains of the target.
If they are prepeard to make such propganda then i pretty sure they are not afriad to nuke and even mersalesly sacrifice there ppl in the name of china

China is also communist, the Westwood company like to portray the communist useing brute force to end the conflict. USA uses sofiticated technology to win & GLA relys on stealth & inexpensive technology.

( yes I said Westwood because I beleive C&C is Westwood with EA taped over it for credit.) I haven't been here a while, whats shaken? :p
