I'll probably get a "So now you're finally done. GONNA GET A JOB NOW???"

Otherwise, I celebrate that I've pre-ordered both LotR Trilogy on Blu-ray and more importantly Star Wars Complete Saga on Blu-ray. YEAH!

Blu-ray? Isn't that the thing that was supposed to supplant DVDs but never did and now never will? You know, like what minidiscs were supposed to be to CDs? :p Seriously, in ten years blu-ray will be specialist collector's items and nothing more, and the odd blu-ray players that survive will cost a fortune and not work very well. Prophesied.

Yeah, I've been getting the employment line for the past year or so now while I've been finishing university. Pretty annoying stuff.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

I'm not so sure, Blu ray is going on pretty well. HD-DVD was a flop, but Blu ray has a pretty decent marked. The good thing is that on a blu-ray player, you can still play DVDs, and prices are pretty good on blu ray players and movies these days, though dvd is cheaper.

I never was a blu-ray boy until I got myself a new telly in february, with HD support. Now, I love it, and I CANNOT WAIT FOR STAR WARS!
I'm not stupid though, I read reviews on if the Blu-rays movies I want are significantly better on it than dvd. If they're not, why pay lots more?

Then again, I love movies, and I love quality. But I'm sure that in ten years blu-ray will be a specialist collector's items and nothing more, because they've got even better quality stuff up and running :p

Man, fuck all the new editions of Star Wars. Lucas likes to go ahead and "change" everything to make it "better".

Yes, I still watch them only on my old vhs's :p

And I just noticed I have 3600 posts. Nice.

Well, I'm hoping for a choice in the start what "edition" you want, the original, 1997 version or the remastered one (or whatever the DVD one is called). There is certainly enough room for that on a blu ray disc to get to choose, and it would please all (except for the ones who think they decide what Star Wars is more than Lucas himself)
If I could choose, I think I'd go for the 1997 one, because that is what I grew up with. At any rate, I like the movies, regardless of what version (yes I have seen them all), with one big exception:
Hayden Christensen as the Anakin ghost. That is the only thing I don't like :p
And badly animated animals on Tatooine in A New Hope.. Okay yeah, there are a few things I don't like, but I like both trilogys and I'm pumped about the whole set regardless!

I've not seen them on this tour. It's amazing how many tours of the British O2 Academies seem to skip out the O2 Academy in Sheffield. Actually, it's not amazing, it's just plain irritating. Although in a week I'll be leaving, so that won't be an issue any more. Glad they're still living up to their potential, though. Have they still got Mike Portnoy on drums or have they found a new permanent drummer yet?

Oh, and I got a haircut today, which actually turned out pretty well. Even my angry, cynical, antisocial and largely unpleasant flatmate admitted that she liked it, which I believe is in fact one of the harbingers of the apocalypse, so I guess, mixed emotions?

Nah, the fired\separated with Portnoy and now there's a new kid (litterary, he's like 22) playing. I'm not sure if he'll be their permanent drummer, but he is pretty darn good (and the reason they hired him was because he knew all of Rev's stuff from the get-go)

I have now finished all of my exams! At last. And, having played Aeroball last night most ferociously and proceeded to go on a climbing wall, I feel knackered.

I was cast as Richard III. This makes me so excited, I cannot properly express it in internet speak without excess of emoticons, and must resort to representations. :w00t: x 10

As of today, I'm a certified scuba diver. I cannot tell you the wonder that is saying fuck you to gravity of hearing nothing but the flow of water around you, and the sight of the the sun 40 feet under water.

It's true, that's how we all cook every time. It gets kind of intense. Also kind of a bitch to clean. :p

I celebrate that we'll be getting our swords this week for Richard III. Our director ordered them special online. As Richard, I'll be using bastard swords as crutches in the final battle scene. It promises to be interesting and awesome. ^_^
