I think shieldman might be able to attach to battering rams to greatly increase their defense value

Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

Whoops! Gotta be more careful when copying and pasting. Fixed it

@ Zimoo I was thinking of maybe doing something to that effect. I'll see what I can come up with.

Neither am I. This map's goal is to bring the battle of Helm's Deep like it was in the movies right?

Then why have Saruman, Lurtz and Gríma?

No fuel left for the pilgrims

Not necessarily true... Although I'm creating this mod with a lot of inspiration from the movie, my goal is also to incoporate other elements into it. There's going to be some cool and surprising featuers that are not from the movie to add a much more surprise element to it. For example, Saruman is going to be a lot different from the one in the game now. Trust me, the things that are not from the movie are going to be a neat addition to this mod :xd:

Mmm...I love the battle of Helm's Deep. Best battle in the movies IMO.

Personally I think the only Isengard heroes available should be a generic Uruk-hai Captain and Wulf because Lurtz and Sharku were both dead by Helm's Deep and Saruman/Wormtongue were non-combatants.

Rohan's primary strength should be its heroes and Isengard's primary strength its numbers...again, IMHO.

The old world will burn in the fires of industry! The forests will fall! A new order will rise...we will drive the machine of war with the sword and the spear and the iron fist of the Orc! We have only to remove those who oppose us...

Yea, I know, but as I stated in the above post, I'm going to add my own touch to the battle. Don't worry about the Isengard heoes. They will be edited, and there will be many surprises on how they appear :thumbsupsmiley:

Is it because the Yeoman Archers implies that they're drafted peasants as opposed to proffesional soldiers?

yeah, and its also a lot less generic than simply saying rohan this, or rohan that. also, the word just sounds cool

A suggestion-maybe you could rename the Rohan Builder to something like "Rohirric Porter"? It sounds a lot less generic, if you ask me :p
Cheers, and great job so far,
-mike
