Add any suggestions and/or bugs for Elves in here. I want to seperate the factions for discussion.

Robert's to-do list:
- Redo Cirdan's summon from a tornado to a water sprout (Change texture, fx, & particle systems)
- Redo Cirdan's portrait & button image
- Either replace legolas with a HQ model or at least a HQ texture
- Add new voices for Celeborn
- Take Galadriel out of the hero's list before official release or re-do the ring-system before the next release.
- Redo the walls of the Elves for rebuild and other options

Wishlist or distant future:
- Create a new model/skin for Cirdan instead of the CaH modified
- Create a new model/skin for Elrond's sones instead of the CaH modified. Not as important as Cirdan

Bugs:
- When Celeborn dies - "Lord Elrond has Fallen"

Suggestions/Comments:
- Horse Archers need a new skin (Aggree. They just use the lancers skin I believe and would like some difference)
- Create different portraits for the new heroes (Yeah, some of mine really are done poorly and need new images)
- Restore Thranduil to power! He should be worth 3000 if he costs 3000 (I will be re-working him)
- Review the balance of the Lorien Archers (Currently they have the stats of when they were 15 strong, and should be the strongest 1st tier archer unit in the game

Questions:
- Should I leave Elladan and Elrohir in the Elves? The faction has the most heroes, and these two are in Gondor's "Grey Company" power.

Currently, the Elves are close to completion. I only need to do balance for them.

celeborn uses the voices from MoTW CaH's and wen he dies it says "Lord Elrond has fallen!".
other than that elves seem pretty flawless in the way of bugs.

One visual bug (but it's from the unmodded game): The Lindon Horse Archers are using a skin that doesn't completely fit their model. Their cape for instance has armor "sidebars" and their helmet have a cut top (less noticeable though).

I think they need remodeling or simply a reskin.

Please restore the high attack speed of Thranduil. He's not worth 3000. In RotWK his Dead Eye skill increased damage only, he already had the high AS. Same for King Dain.
I was surprised in-game with this. Was playing Elves vs Mordor in Harlindon, and the enemy brought a Drummer Troll. I could have escaped easily, but Arwen actually gets kicked back with the Drummer Troll's attack. I was hoping to save her quickly with Thranduil, but his attack speed was not worth the resources I had spent, and well, Arwen got stuck in a corner, and she couldn't run because of the constant attacks. I couldn't spend time attacking with Thranduil because the enemy had Mouth of Sauron and Gothmog.

Also, maybe Lorien Archers should be slightly stronger and cost 250. They fell to Mordor Orc Archers.

I don't mind if you cut Ella&Elroh out, I don't use them anyways.

OR - and that'll be HUGE work, so I doubt you'll do it but also very cool - split the Elves into Rivendell/Lindon and Lórien/Mirkwood (they'd be given the 'tree' buildings). Like you splitted Evil Men into Harad and Rhun. Still 'one' faction but, well, you'll understand what I mean. Then it'd be:

Rivendell/Lindon: Elrond, Arwen, Glorfindel, Elrohir, Elladan, Círdan

Lórien/Mirkwood: Thranduil, Legolas, Haldir, Celeborn, Galadriel

The Edain mod did that, and it was very cool.

Actually, that was one of things I had on my list :p I really should at least mention some of these. It all depended on how Evil Men went. I'd like to try to go through and do the same for Elves, Dwarves, and maybe some of the other factions where you have the option of choosing two different sub-factions. (This is one of the reasons why there are so many heroes. I've thought about splitting it into 2-3 (Rivendell, Lothlorien, and maybe Mirkwood.)

But that will have to wait for when the Evil Men are finished and might be some time off. I'm also going through and updating the first post with any/all suggestions/comments/etc.

I think Elves are ok as they are. :-\ sub-factions are cool yes, but it would take extra work.

Is Treebeard going to have any new abilities? I have few suggestions:

"Wash Away the Filth" creates elven wood.

(lvl10?) "Wake Huorns" works like a devastation, but turns trees into fighting huorns!

And Treebeards leadership then should give bonus to huorns as well.

Huorns:
- trainable from entmoot
- elven (elite) infantry unit
- melee attack, much like a troll's attack
- more "treeish" than ents, like a willow
- slightly smaller than an ent
- "Entangling Roots" -ability, perhaps passive ability that gives chance to entangle (making it immobile, but still capable to attack) attacking unit if it hits huorn

All this, if you have spare time...?

The ideas are nice, but there are 2 problems with it:

1) A huorn would require a new model - and modelling is one of the very few things RJ can't do
2) Treebeard can be given powers, but then he'd have them all immediately. The problem with Treebeard is that he's recruitable from a common building, so if he dies, he loses all xp and starts at lvl 1 again if you revive him. That's why he is level 10 right away.
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Well, Treebeard's leveling should be corrected then, by putting him into fortress so that he could work as fully functional hero.

And yes, I know huorns would require new model, but RJ has already got new models from other authors.

PS. Ents (and huorns) should regenerate FAST when in water.

Treebeard coming from Fortress? Looks a bit unnatural. And Treebeard is like a demi-hero, I think he should remain where he is.

I think Treebeard is more of a hero than most of the other guys. And yes, it is unnatural that he comes out of the fortress, but so is dozens of batallions marching out a small box called Barracks.

It's a game u know ;)

-_- that small box called Barracks is where units are trained. Treebeard is alright where he is. He doesn't need more abilities nor does he need to change the structure where he's trained.

And I've seen no other heroes that look unrealistically coming from the fortress.

I think treebeard is good where he is. He is a full hero, but he's not completely connected to rohan/elves/. He also doesnt need any new abilities as he owns every other unit anyway. Personally I would like to see elves getting some siege like a reskined ram instead of ents.

Those wall problems are really weird. I hope they are buffed in 1.05.02 anyway.
