Yeah, those "empty holes" can be fixed. I'm going through each map and checking areas, geometries, etc. so they won't happen. If anything, in 1.05.02 the gates should be fixed and I the elven walls, etc. will be a little stronger.

can elves at least get sum small towers or sumthin, bc they r currently the only faction w/o them. perhaps they culd get small towers (the 1's that cost 200 4 evil factions) and put them just inside the walls.

But they already have big walkable walls for archers to shoot from and are the big "archer" faction.

well they and every other good faction has walkable walls, so they r still at a disadvantage.

I've debated whether to add upgrades to their walls and when I started out I decided against it. The main reason, Elves should be able to defend easily with their archers. If anything, I might allow vigilant ents to be purchased to help protect with siege. For towers, I really think they should do just fine without them. They probably have the largest area to place archers, and once the height bonus (for the walkable walls) is added it would almost be wasted money to by towers.

Ents, though, I could understand wanting their protection as well as a portern gate type of ability. (I'm trying to come up with a different way to handle the postern gate for elves.)

they at least need sum type of siege defense such as vigilant ent expansions. a postern gate wuldnt hurt either, but thats not as necessary.
but you raise a good point about the archers and height bonus.

Yeah, a postern gate and/or an anti-siege ranged weapon (like vigilant ents) would help.

On the towers for the walls: dwarves and men have garrisonable halls/dormitories, maybe you could add some thing like those for the elves.

Ladders will not work yet against Elves. I'm trying to come up with a solution to how this should be handled......hmmmm......thinking back to a suggestion from long ago about replacing the BFME2 wall segments with special FX walls.........

I was playing as the elves versus isengard last night, and affter i drove off isengard, i could not repair the destroyed walls. I do suggest that you add something like the Gondor Domitories or Dwarven Halls Expansions (basically like the ruined towers on some maps, i.e. a tower that doesn't fire, but can be, for defense, garrisoned. I do believe that there is a model like this already in game for the elves)

I suggested this before, but in some maps (Rivendell, some of the Lindons) there is an elven tower which can be garrisoned, i figuered that these could be used like arrow tower expansions, because, yeah, the elves are the Archer faction and all, but the first few groups of elven archers, are easily wiped out, due to their lack of armor. These tower would provide more defense to the archer as well as increase their effectiveness.

Elven heroes suggestions:

Haldir: Cost reduction to 1200 resources and move his leadership to lvl3 instead of 4.
Glorfindel: Cost reduction to 1500
Elledan: Move cripple to lvl 3 and either move athelas to lvl 3 or replace it with starlight or restoration.
Elrohir: Increase the recharge time for sword blast.
Cirdan: Cost reduction to 2500 and perhaps a power relating to mithlond sentries, like leadership or a summon.
