In other words, "epic overkill" :p

LMFAO, you cease to amaze me mike ;P .

BUt I do think that lightning + an avalanche would be overkilling it. And by the way, is this suggestion for a 25 pp power or a power for Saruman? I might be having one of my dumb moments but I am at a loss for what aspect of Isengard this was suggested for.

Here's my proposed techtree as far as this is concerned -

Isengard 25pp summons - Lightning Storm, and Avalanche

Saruman's Lvl.10 power - Saruman of Many Colours (passive), Word of Power, Lightning Blast, whatever. Take your pick.

Saruman mounted on Fortress Tower - Lightning Storm + Avalanche, at the same time. As Mike said, Epic Overkill. :p

Saruman should have his normal powers on the wizard tower, just better :p Ie, longer range and super strong fireball, stronger coercion, better leadership, stronger lighting...etc.

For the pp, I'd still like to see my 25pp passive uruk buff.

More realisticly, Sau-Sau would have hardly any health, but some super powerful magic. He was taken out with a wimpy stab by Worms in the movie. And having the wisard tower would be like his safe haven and his conduit to more power, which would balence that health handycap.

Any of them woulda been take out by a slash to the throat from wormtongue...they're not gods, just good fighters. Their health and armor is game represents their ability to dodge and deflect, but you can't dodge what you don't see coming.

To bad they haven't made an RTS that can accurately reflect the way a real fight happens. In the real world you don't have health bars and you bleed from wounds.

If you're bleeding enough to severely impact, you're out of the fight.

And the total war games work near perfectly for stuff like that ;)

Yeah they get it really close. I really wish they would make a middle earth RTS instead of EA. EA doesn't produce high quality games.

Well, there is a mod being made for Medieval 2 Total War that is set in Middle Earth during the War of the Ring. It's called the Third Age :p

-Saruman must have a upgrade, a "the many colored" to become next to Gandalf. 3.000 to 6.000 is absurd, 5.000 to 6.000 is better.

-The Uruk scoutts of S.E.E is interesing to put in game.

-The golden armour of the Uruks is permanently?

-What you think about the Uruk Death-Bringers becomes Uruk-Hai of Orthanc from S.E.E?

One thing to keep in mind is that Saruman doesn't function like Gandalf. Let's not get into the whole "Saruman and Gandalf" lore thing because in the game they do not function exactly like each other. For example, I would probably hold Saruman back from being in the middle of a huge battle because he has a weak attack whereas with Gandalf, I would send him right in.

I do think that Saruman should be given a better power. But I don't think that Saruman of Many Colours is it. What you're suggesting sounds like a boost to his health, armour, and attack. But Saruman, in the game, has a function that (I atleast don't think) would co-operate with that as a late game power.

*Inserts better lightning strike idea a few posts back, here*

We can't take stuff from S.E.E without their permission. I'm sure that if we asked nicely enough, they might donate some of that stuff. But for now, we can't just throw them in no matter how good they would look :p .

I'm pretty sure that the Death-Bringers are getting a reskin (atleast) or they're being changed completely.... I could be wrong.

And I would only like to see Uruk scouts as regular uruk-hai units without heavy armour. Otherwise these new early-game units would take away from the Dunlendings who need a role too.

-The golden armour of the Uruks is permanently?

Definitely not as far as I remember :p . Hopefully these skins will get looked at after the next public release.

I understand, but a better lightning strike is interesting. :p

Well, they may not have to be early game units. In Rhovanion Alliance, it's been stated that they're improved archers with a sword/bow toggle, they have greater range than the uruk crossbowmen but lack their armour, but do more damage, and can travel at greater speeds.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

Well, we kinda can :p SEE and RJ have a partnership kinda thing going. They have all our Harad buildings and buildups and a lot of other stuff, we have a bunch of their skins. So, we probably could if we wanted to, but I don't think we particularly want to

Redundancy...

Indeed.

Anyway. I wouldn't mind him having a 'Fires of Industry' power - which would be a passive leadership to buildings. By that I mean an increase to building resource gathering and unit production speed.

Could be a great late-game power, possibly.

I'm in favour of that as well. Saruman was more than a leader of the Uruk-hai and a master of speechcraft and peversion, but a motivator in Orthanc, his will and magic aided the production force in Isengard.

Stop stealing my ideas

My idea for that was only when he was garrisoned on the wizard tower though...

I... think you meant persuasion, right?

I think that Saruman's Leadership should extend to buildings in a massive radius when he's garrisoned on the tower, allowing them to produce faster and fire quicker. It doesn't have to be elaborate.
I'd say his Dominate power should be permanent. Definately.

I don't recall you saying that, yoda, but alright

And he was a master of both, Hasfusasheileel. He perverted Orthanc from a great outpost of the Kingdom of Gondor to a lesser imitation of Barad-dur.
