I just hope I can find a way to script the thing to not explode uopn sight... lol

If you do manage to find a way of doing this, you might want to take a look at doing the same thing with the cinematic model of the black gate. Would be a pretty nice addition to the already great black gate map to be able to open and close it...

What can break trought it ? Maybe Grond but if you playing Black Gate if it can open/close its proberbly funniest to play Mordor inside :good: But i want that to . And i want a large map , with 1v1 .One outside the gate and the one inside have Barad-Dur , Plateu of Gorgoroth (Smaller ofc) .

I was looking over some old maps that I downloaded in the past and found this. Note that it is not mine. It was created by Steve Campen aka 'High Elven Lord'. I saw the old post about Barad-Dur being in S.E.E. so I thought it would be cool if the mod had a Barad-Dur map. I know its not as life like as the maps njm1983 has been creating which I mite saw a awesome but it does have a nice intro similiar to the background of the games menu with the camera circling up toward the eye. If Nazgul has any interest in this map I have been trying to find a way to contact the creator and see if he would be interested in letting S.E.E. use it if Nazgul wanted but found out that he has long been retired from the BFME community. His last post was dated in december of 2007! I am still trying to contact him. If your not interested Naz maybe it can at least be a little inspiration for njm to make one who I hope continues to create outstanding maps.

Would you mind converting the bmp to a jpg?

I'm guessing you mean Dagorlad which I think translates into "the Battle Field". It was where the Last Alliance fought outside the the Black Gate. I'll look around to see if anyones made something like that.

Looks great! Perhaps NJM will pick this up later on, if we can't use this one... :p

Looks ok, Since you put up the pic I made it my business to track it down and have a look at it. After Isengard Ill definately be looking to do something with this. Im concerned about the high areas along the tower, being problems for the camera and lag. Also it isnt entirely accurate at the base:

But Im fairly confident that I can do it.

I also noticed the inacuracy of the base as well. The only problem I could think of with creating Barad-Dur as the same scale as njm's Minas Tirith is that it would be difficult to make room at the base for building. Also, with the map I took picks of, you can't see the top of the tower in game, only during the maps intro is it visible. If you would like to have a look at the map heres High Elven Lords website with all of his maps. http://www.freewebs....d/downloads.htm

With the RJ Cam in SEE you can see the whole tower

Thats right. I forgot about the RJ cam being implemented in S.E.E. But from what I remember from playing RJ rotwk there are only four camera angles. Does one of them point like almost directly up otherwise you would have to move to the very end of the map to glimpse the whole tower. Especially if njm makes the tower to scale with Minas Tirith because in the the the Barad-Dur in the movie was said to be over 1,500 meters (5,000 feet tall, roughly three times as tall as the Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois.in contrast to Minas Tirith which was 1,620 feet tall (493.7 m) including the Tower of Ecthelion which would have to make the njm's Barad-Dur three times as tall as his Minas Tirith if you want to keep the exact proportions as in the movie. Courtesy of wikipedia for the info. Anyway, best of luck to the S.E.E. team  and to njm. Can't wait to see what you create next!

Hehe I doubt it would be THAT high, but with the 4th camera angle of RJ Cam, you can see very high. Backing up a bit should show you the whole tower. Same thing goes for Isengard =)

And Sauron's Eye has to see all of Middle-Earth, so it has to be very high. :)
The race of Men is failing, the blood of Númenor is all but spent – its pride and dignity forgotten… It is because of Men the Ring survives.

Yeah I think so too, and I bet NJM will sink his teeth into this map too eventually. Would make an awesome fortress map for Mordor faction :p

Or a MOTW vs. MOTE fortress map *shifty eyes* think about it...

The day has been won! Sauron has been kicked out of Mordor into the lands of eternal damnation... but, out of the east, comes the hordes of evil men! Seeking to dominate the foes that Sauron couldn't HOPE to defeat... the hero's ONLY hope is to use the old Mordor emplacements to somehow push the evil men back and make it home before they are overwhelmed!

*insert The Board Is Set track from LOTR Extended soundtrack*

Yes people... I plan to have fun with this mod :p

The Dark is patient...

The Dark is generous...

And it always wins...

But in the heart of its power lies weakness...

It takes but a single candle to hold it back...

Love is more then a candle...

Love can ignite the stars.

Your enthusiasm is nice, but i seem to recall that Barad-dur blew up when sauron was destroyed. So there is nothing to defend.
