the engine is not made to inclinate the camera and play with it. Well, yesterday, just after answering that post, I bought 2 modules of one gb DDR 400 mhz. Now with 2 gb it runs perfectly.
Note that it's DDR, not DDR2(my motherboard doesn't support DDR2) so I guess that with DDR2 would be better :)

zooming yes, but not changing the angle. if you change the angle then you can get far too many objects ( units, buldings, terrain) on the screen which could end in game crash. with ordinar zoom you cant get that problem in anycase :)

and those buldings are definatly wondefull  btw: are there normal maps for those building or am i mistaken?

yes they have normal maps.
The dwarves don't have exterior buildings. I mean that you won't have a builder, you'll do everything in the fortress by upgrades. Anyway, the only exterior buildings will be the minifactions that you'll place them in the mountains just like this one that I show you. (Maybe they'll have two minifactions: Nogrod and Khazad-dum).
Of course the dwarves will be the most simple faction and the most easy to destroy (since you'll have to destroy only one building that will be very hard to destroy at all, you'll need siege weapons and stuff) but also your units will be very strong and you'll build them quickly.

Anyway nothing is clear yet, the screenshot I show you is what I've done so far, but probably I'll improve it making it more realistic and bigger. I'm just trying to make something different and of course there are things that don't fit and I've to change them but I have started to think about that:
Imagine that you start with a very big mountain with some plots on it, and you can build buildings on the mountain, walls, towers, mines just like the bases in bfme 1, everything ON a mountain. It may look good and very original.

Anyway, I'll see what can I do.

i'd first want to say: great job on the Angband faction. I was stunned when i saw the depth's of Ea building. It looked soooo cool. The only thing i wanted to do is play with the dwarven mountai  but you didn't put it in the mod yet.

it was very funny to play. Great job

I'm really happy that Four Ages mod still lives . It's (in my personal opinion) the best mod for bfme2 . Dwarves are awesome . Can't wait to see elves in action (on screenshots too)
