Just a heads up on something I've been working on today. Namely the first completely 100% scratch model in T4A. All other models contain something from EA, but this one will be 100% me.
Granted, if I decide to add a horse to him\her, I'll use an EA horse. I'm not that into it :p And no, I won't tell you who it is, expect it in the next update.

That's a nice model, It'll certainly look great textured despite the low number of polygons. I always wondered why all the EA models are such low poly...

Torso looks a bit wide. Perhaps a bit of a revise on the propertions? Though it looks like a very clean and well designed model, which is generally more then I can say about my own models. Which are usually rather inefficient :p

Lots of potential :rolleyes: Can't wait to see it skinned.

I'll check on the torso, but it should be just as wide as an EA model, so I can use that as a defence mechanism in case I don't change it :p

Shoulder and collar area seem a little bit wide and flat. Also, there appears to be no neck. Not bad though. I really need to try making my own human model from scratch too. :p

I like your models , but I want to ask you if there would be a new campaign , because your story is really well done ,I think it 'll be great , but it's just my opinion.

It would be great, but it's not going to happen. The reasons being:

a. I don't have the will to make it, because of the amount of mapping and scripting that would be required, when I never got into that stuff.
b. I don't have the time, because it would take ages

But yeah, it would've been awesome!

You're right ; I can't imagine how it must be hard and so long to make a campaign like that ! As far as I'm concerned , it fits with Tolkien's spirit in the books :p so frankly , really good story , you must have taken a long time to make it , to imagine it . :w00t:
Plus there are no much clues about the Fouth Age , we can only make guests , and your mod is very fun to play .I've already played it once , I had appreciated it for the concept , the news heros ,the whole modification indeed , but I haven't BFME1 anymore (shitty CD which is broken :p )

Anyway , great job !:w00t: Some day , I'll learn to make models and skins , but for now ,I rather learn to code , modify BFME2 gameplay via INIbigand add some heroes and units , more balanced game .It would be a good start !

You can fix that bu running it in Compatibility mode for Vista. It will then show an icon in the tray when not open. Much less annoying. :unsure:

So, what in my eyes are a great concept, my first model that I'm very pleased with, I somehow manage to scew it up soo bad that I don't like it in the process of skinning ^_^
I weren't planning to show you this until it was done, but what the heck.

It's suppose to be the King of Rohan, Eothain, but right now it looks so bad that I won't use him until he's improved... alot :unsure:
Yeah, he's very WIP.. I've only really outlinded most of the skin, but I though I'd show you anyways, and there's hardly any details on him (belt, shield and sword is about the only done things.. I won't be bothered to dish up a closer look of the sword though)
And yes, it might be weird that I complain it 'till death when it's still an early WIP, but I'm no Nertea, so I don't have too much faith in the ending result.

also, tried to make chainmail, but it looked horrible... I might have to abandon the idea of 100% scratch model and skin.. ;)
So please comment and give your ideas, critics aren't really needed at this stage, but if you have anything relevant, shoot ;)

Give him a big cheesy crown? :p

How about giving him a long flowing robe and a mane on his helmet? The mane seems like a strong design on rohan armour, with the horse motifs and all.
This first one is a bit more warrior-ish like a Rohan king should be, and red is more of a royal looking colour than the green you have at the moment. The scale armor might look better as plate/leather armor though, or covered in cloth like the second picture.
