No Elvenfury, cahiks way better than me, even if he tries to say otherwise... ;)


Then what the hell can chaik do this is the sweetest animation i have ever seen in a mod apart from the Jurassic park mod over at moddb.

well, for example... Almost every animation you've seen at RA's sneak peak... on some of the in-game screenshots, but that's hard to spot...
And, in addition of ALOT of custom animations for many of RA's units that you've seen, he is also doing every animation there is to see in RA's Erebor faction! And.... he doesn't stop at axe w\shield, two-handed axe, archer, and maybe a few custom heroes... He's made custom anims for ALL the damn dwarves... every single unit... No, he's not done with all yet, as it's still alot to go, but if he suddenly quits or something, then atleast all dwarves has something to use :p That saying alot...
Also... that makes about 4 factions... there's still 4 to go :p He'll get more help from me then, but still.. ;)
He is officially the best animator there is for the BFME series, better than EA's folks at times.... atleast when he makes beautiful anims from scratch, while they use Motion Capture :p

So, to put it simply... cahik can animate like a God... I can perhaps animate like an angle then ;)
but if that was the sweetest anim you ever saw... then I pity you, as I've seen alot better :p :p

wow i feel sorry for him so much work lol.

has most of your rhun faction got custom animations? I would personally like to see a building with a build up animation ;)

All buildings will have a build-up animation, but most will have a very easy and dull one, but it does the trick :wink_new:
No, there's no reason to give most of Rhûn custom animations... why? Well, for staters.. their as big as men, they have sword\shield, archer, spear\shield, cavalry..... most of these are already in-game :wink_new: Pikemen uses custom animations, as they use both hands on the pike... Axemen had to get new ones, and Brudhan has a custom animation set when unmounted.. on horse, he only has a few custom :lol: Khoragan is also getting many custom animations... Other than the Axemen, Brudhan, Khoragan and Pikemen, there is not fully sets of custom anims.. ;)

No. None of my TFA animations will be in RA, unless I make some super-awesome-lookin' anims that RA would be rather interested in, and would ask me for it... :p

Pardon my laziness, but for those who've seen the newst update...
There's nothing special about the captains of Erebor... Their just a visual touch :) Plus the captains (not banner carriers) has better attack and health, wich you can't take advantage over anyways...
The soldiers, the banner carrier, the captain... Their all in one horde :ohmy: 3 dwarves at each edge, then a captain and banner carrier at the middle ;) I thought about having two ranks, with the back one with 8 soldiers only... would certainly look better with the captain and banner carrier, but we'll see ;) That might make the dwarves only have one horde when summoned...

Here, onto the laziness... a bmp :p

you cant really compare that. also we dont know if there are anims that are animated by hand. there is one big difference between me and those guys...money :p

me animating as God? that could isult me cause i am extreme atheist :sad: and definatly it could insult all those profianimators all around the world. one could say that i am quite good animator for RTS games but that is all, nothing more ;)

if you bother yourself with polishing those axeman anims i think that we could find use for them :) didnt saw the rest of anims that you did but i am quite sure that it is high quality stuff :)

Okay, so here you go...

after a long discussion with Matias, probably lasted for about 20 seconds, we decided to have Mounted Archers of Rhûn...

Reasons for this is;
Pretty easier for me.. No need to skin or model anything.. ;) I don't really want to animate a chariot, and....

The armies from the East included swordsmen, spearmen, and archers mounted on horses, while their chieftains rode in chariots.

So, we have a good reason to add archers mounted on horses, AND we have a good reason not to make chariots, as it seems their chieftans rode them :p

edit: Of course, these won't be copies of the Rohirrim Mounted Archers ;) As stated on the site, Rhûn cavalry will be slower, but tougher... These archers will have less accuratcy, but their hits are slightly more damaging :)

Adds more uniqeness to 'em.... But we'll see if I can implent it as flawless as possible :p

Man, if that could be added... well, it would add a little more micromanaging, but would be amazing, nonetheless.
