Looks as if the topic is a little dead.

Hey, if anyone is looking for something to do, here's my idea I'll contribute.

Not exactly a conversion or anything, but a new campaign with new units.

THE HOBBIT CAMPAIGN

Yup. I went there.

I can lay out a mission list if anyone is really that interested. Only problems I can see would be creating the skins for the new heroes, which would include the dwarves and Bilbo, perhaps a new Gandalf skin. There would also probably have to be unique goblin skins, and a revamped gollum skin.

Basic needs: New Heroes, new skins, new maps, new hero powers, new units!

Reply if interested, or leave the topic dead if not. lol ;)

May sound slightly bizarre, but if anyone would want to help me with it, i have an idea for a mod that will bring games some of us enjoyed back to life. These games i'm talking about are the warcraft games, namely 3 and frozen throne. So being an avid WoW player i have something called the modelviewer, something i can use to check out armor sets weapons and etc. lol. Well it exports, and besides it having a slight (maybe significantly more) chance of being illegal. Besides the point im planning on making a mod based on the current events in WoW. The scourge are attacks the horde and the alliance, and they've reached the pinnacle of the fight: facing the Lich King, leader of the scourge. So in essence, we'll have 9 factions. Yes this is extremely ambitious, and maybe even stupid in my part. It will take lots of coding but it will be worth it. These factions are Dwarves, Humans, Night Elves, Gnomes, and Draenei for Alliance; Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, Forsaken(good undead), and Blood Elves for Horde; and Scourge. My plan is to release the first public release with the Dwarves and the Scourge. This would be public beta and the alpha will be Dwarves up until i perfect the faction to use as a base for the Scourge, the second race for the beta. I'm going to use the models for characters as units till i need to make them and i'll be making most of the building with the rest of my modling crew, which includes 3 newbies i'm teaching and two who can use the programs efficiently.
This leads to my question....Are you prepared? To help ;) any help would be greatly appreciated.

In Evil Campaign speaking, who or what would be an enemy in a Mordor map?

It would be better as a Warcraft mod, since it would probably be legal. And, the engine is probably capable of things in the Warcraft games which BFME cannot do. Still, WC3 is tough to mod, since it has to be attached to a map. But really, it's fairly certain they're working on Warcraft 4, so that should be pretty good (although post-cataclysm.)
Greetings, community.

Pitty Cata will destroy all i know and love =/ and they're killing off my favorite lore character (Deathwing). Oh well, i too would love to work on it but it would be incredibly hard to lower the WoW models to the standards of bfme2, or even to replicate them.

Actually I'm pretty sure WoW models are fairly low poly so it shouldn't be much of a problem with today's computers.

Getting your ass sued thrice over is, however. Don't bother.

I would like there to be a Taunt Mod. Much Like the Taunt system that Age of Empires 2 has.
