I had this idea based on Mercedes Lackey's Obsidian Trilogy... There would be two factions: Forces of Light and Forces of Darkness.

i want this mod! a mod for lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2: rise of the witch king that remove the limit of hero hordes you could have one the battle feild from 3 to as many as the command limit allowed. if someone made this i'd be eternally greatful!

I have a strange idea. A Pokemon mod.

Here are some ideas I'm making up as I go.

Buildings wouldn't be very important: they would probably be gone completely.

You will start with a character (possibly a Cah,) and I guess one Pokemon. The character will have an untamed allegiance like power to "catch" more Pokemon. This would require a lot of mapping with lots of creeps all over the place, since that's how you get more units.

Attempting to catch a Pokemon will, of course, use up a Pokeball. Pokeballs would be represented by resources or Commandpoints or something.

CP will probably be needed to limit you to six pokemon at a time: once you catch a Pokemon, it would be come "purchasable" (for free) from a Pokemon center. I suppose the centers would be indestructible, not-counting for victory objects that heal nearby units while not under attack. Simply put, you would be able to send your Pokemon back to the center to regain your CP and be able to train more pokemon.

Some things need work, though. For instance, you need to have a quantity for each type of Pokemon. you can't train any more than X of that type. Then, when you catch more of that type, the numbers will increase the max number. I don't know if this is possible.

Another thing... How do you keep track of pokeballs and resources? You could just use Resources for Pokeballs (ignoring masterballs and whatnot,) but how would you get more? I was thinking you could have another building, the store, which allows you to purchase Pokeballs. Perhaps you could have an unselectable, invisible object that represents a pokeball, then your current quantity could be displayed on the bottom of the screen like the porters. When you use one it will destroy one of these objects.

Also, how will battles and victory conditions work?


A much simpler Pokemon-based mod could just be a dueling mod. The CaH system could be used to make custom groups in the commandset of the trainer. Each pokemon could then be summoned by the trainer, but only one at a time. This doesn't bring as much of the Pokemon system into the game, but it seems more doable. The maps would just be arenas.

There still would be a little trouble with summoning Pokemon and whatnot. Their health and experience level would have to be saved when they are not out, and if they die, they need to be disabled in the Trainer's commandset.

How bout an X-Men Mod. Wolverine could have Legolas's sword anims and Dr.X could be a bugged character on a chair. (Bugged I mean he cant move like my aragorn problem in the BFME2 Modding Fourms). Storm could be like Galadriel. Cyclops well you got me there. About the others I have a list of them. I will update later.

Yello, I'm thinking of a little story... ( :p Sorry If you think when Sauron died, so to did his Nazgûl OR the Books said)

After the suffering defeat of his lord, Sauron, the last of the Nazgûl retreats to the ruins of Carn Dûm, once the capital city of the Kingdom of Angmar. The last Nazgûl fled deep within the ruins, where he waited for 10 years. In those 10 years, he discovered ancient books that dated back to the First Age; then he learned terrible, dark secrets. He studied the dark and damned arts of Necromancery, the power to raise the long gone. He started to bring back the servants of the Witch-King, and an evil army rose. The Nazgûl traveled to the four corners of Middle-Earth, raising dead kings and lords to obey his command. Within the opening days of the Fourth Age, the Nazgûl has made his dark army, and with his army, he wants to slay all of the enemies that he made. He awaits for the right moment to strike the Living and slay them all...

As you can see, I like to write stories ;)

Oh, and this is basically a little, back-story for the thing I desire: An Undead Faction

(I did not rip this off the War of the Gods faction: Scourge of the Underworld, if you're wondering)

Hmmm... That's interesting. Doesn't seem to fit with the lore very well, but it doesn't have to. It's a cool idea. It'll need some killable undead, though, unlike the army of the dead...

Explain it however you think best, I'd like to see a mod that adds an undead faction. It sounds like a kinda cool idea... Or you could get them to add an undead Faction to RC. I think it would fit well there.
