I must be the only person who really dislikes Laser General... but not as much as I dislike the Robot General.
I think they are too "clinical" and lack the visceral pleasure of explosions, flames and poisons.
However, the idea of a highly re-playable General is good, and varying dependence on building requirements OR experience requirements is also a really good idea (e.g. Tank must go out and kill, Laser must build up back at the base).

I do not agree with you, the laser gen does have some pretty nice partical effects and such.

what will be it armed with
here is a sugestion that i sugessted in contra forum(ages ago) but everybody said no maybe it work now
a 3 three turrert laser and avenger laser on the back for aa

the Anubus will have 1 plasma cannon
the osirus will have 1 particle projection cannon
the Isis tank will have 1 heavy microwave emiiter
the Horus tank will have 1 ion cannon weapon.
the Ra will have a heavy laser weapon of some sort
that is how they come out the warfactory. with just one weapon.
then when you click on it, you can choose to upgrade that tank with one of the following
plasma torch
light microwave emittor
pulse lasers
particle streamer
rockets
the Rocket pack is the only one that doesnt require a specific tech.
the other secondary aux weapons will need the corrosponding tech reserched.
e.g if i build a horus tank, and i have laser tech reserched, i can put some pulse lasers on it. or if i have plasma tech i can put a plasma torch on it.
if i have particle tech and plasma tech reserched, i can build an osirus tank, and put a plasma torch on it, or i can build an anubus tank ankd put a particle streamer on it.
