I still want to know why a missile was able to take off the arm while beams simply deflected off.

didnt watch it but i'll wing it. laser pointer vs a mirror: gets reflected. explosive vs mirror: Bye Bye mirror.

Then again, nothing make sense in the mecha world.

I really cant remember, but again, if the missile in question was one of dyname's, it isnt a normal missile. It releases a large burst of GN particles on impact. That has to have much more energy output than a GN beam, or else dynames wouldnt have it in the first place, it already has 3 ranged beam weapons.

If its not dyname's missiles, then whose were those? I only watched the raw online so i cant remember.

Actually, why not? We've been conditioned by previous gundam series to believe that everything that isnt beam-based is laughable.

Actually, if you ask me it would make much more sense for a missile to have a higher yield. Compared to a beam shot, the delivery is atrocious. Its slower so its easier to avoid. The reason why missiles home on targets actually, is because they're slow and need an extra edge. They can't be spammed. In every single series beam weapons are spammed like hot potatoes. missiles are limited by ammunition. Missiles can be intercepted and shot down. Missiles can be jammed or spoofed. Why would dynames carry such a comparably lousy weapon then? Kyrios doesnt count, since it only carries a missile rack depending on mission profile, but dynames has it as standard armament.

Other than a higher yield, i can only think of one other reason to have missiles, and its to be able to air a huge number at the same time to overwhelm a target. Thats not how its used against patrick though.

We also have no idea how good the construction of the shield is. If we grant that its about the same as Exia, then its not that great, seeing as Exia has lost its shield more than once. (not just cuse setsuna drops it)

So does the enact's rifle. I wonder about how good is that GN blade anyway. It doesnt glow with GN particles, so maybe it isnt that great, there has to be a reason it has beam sabers and daggers.

Aye, it was fucking WICKED.

Easily my favourite episode of this series.

I love the HRL's GN-X's circular formation they used, got all the fangs.

That was a damn good episode, HRL actually using tactical battle formations to counter attacks from the Gundams instead of using the usual flight formation. Along with Ali taking out the Throne units, didnt see that one coming. Trans-Am is gonna be interesting to see.

Say, that rhymes...im a total genius...

Anywho, i actually didnt like that circle formation. Its a nice way to bunch up so that the enemy can get double/triple/quad/etc kills. you're also concentrating more on keeping formation, so where does hitting anything come in? Good for intimidation...unless your opponent is a veteran.

I wish it wasn't still raw, cuse i really want to know what happened when the geezer got shot and exia went all destiny/f91/dbz on ali.

1) They're moving too fast to get hit.

2) Although they might be concentrating on hitting formation, they spammed the beam and hit most, if not all, fangs. I would say it was a success.

3) The fact that they have mobile suits that much up to gundams is intimidation enough.

It was an excellent formation and I loved it.

I agree, beam spamming worked perfectly. Also, now we know what they meant by the non-lasting GN Drives, as the fact that they need to be recharged before each use. and as we've seen, the CB units, during the seige ambush which brought about the Throne units, they lasted quite a long time without their Gundams losing any power. unlike the GN-X units and the Throne Gundams.

Funny points from the episode is that Michael's knife usage finally got him killed, and one of my friend's said Johann was a little slow issuing his usual retreat order so that's why he got killed. Now I'm just interested to see where the series goes from here and really interested in Graham's fully decked out Overflag.
