it just looks like it's gonna end up like Gundam Wing had sex with Gundam Seed. Ace pilots getting wtf pwned by people who haven't trained as hard in mobile suits and who are hypocritical pricks.

Sagara probably did have access to AS' though, since he lived fighting them and all. also he is a trained professional.

Well...it seems that setsuna also looks like he lived fighting MS. In fact, its shown directly, while its only implied in full metal (at least for the anime, if the manga shows that, pls correct me). There are many ways to define if one is a trained professional...but to be part of celestial being i should think that setsuna has some form of formal training.

Remember how Sagara beat the crap out of the 'Professional' militart team in that special contest thing? shows you how good he actually is because he fights in the AS while the other people are doing it for show and 'War games'.

it was brilliant up until the parts where the actual gundams popped up.

after they started fighting the episode turned to shit.

Gundam 00, from the 2 eps so far, look like absolute shit.

I actually like the series a lot so far. Im a sucker for cool animation though.

Id say hang in there stargazer. Its still a little early to be calling it like seed or wing.

I too am i sucker of animation...so i really like this one. Better animation than in SEED lol.

And i wouldnt say that exia is anything godlike. True...it got pretty flashy in this ep...but if it couldnt take those clunky looking pieces of shit...my jaw would drop...ANYWAY, has anyone noticed that in two ep's setsuna's only nailed one sucker with his beam shot? One of the sequences in ep 2 shows him spamming the beam shot and hitting absolutely nothing @_@ so i guess that balances things out with the melee. Also the show preview shows exia being face grabbed...so its not untouchable. i doubt Acre will give him a easy time either, but he's using a mass-produced suit, not a gundam or something.

Honestly now, would you rather see the main characters get their ass kicked in episode 2 of an anime? that woundnt make for much of a season now would it.

Anyways, animation looks cool, besides, it's called Ace Pilots VS crappy good soilders. so yes, it'll kill them.



I'd say give it a bit more time, looks like Exia's gonna take some pain in the next episode lol.

I don't want to see them lose, they can win, but they do it in seconds here, the proper soldiers of the militarys should alteast be able to get in a few shots on the gundam.

Uh...if this future conflict is anything like the present day tamil-sinhalese conflict, i dont think the ppl they pwned were regular soldiers. At the very least, the tamils would not a have a proper army, they would be rebels sitting in suits offered by the HRL. Also, if if the conflict has gone on for four hundred yrs already, i would think that neither side can maintain a proper professional army, they'd be running thru their troops too fast for them to become experienced.

the one in the yellowish machines weren't, but the HRL were.

and just because a war has been going on for a long ass time, doesn't mean they've continually lost men for all that time.

in the iraq war, Australia lost it's FIRST soldier a few weeks ago.

so yea, i'd also say that the snipers didn't have exia at all, he blocked the first shot pretty easily, then they got wasted by lockon.

Well, another point is...how good are these regular soldiers? Are they capable of making their MS perform above spec? Because even if setsuna is a regular pilot...or worse, Exia's specs are clearly far superior to the normal MS. It has that weird propulsion system for example, while the regular MS dont seem to even have conventional boosters. They look and move clunkily. If setsuna cant fight them like that...it would be worse.

one is fast, the other is slow, one can fly, the other has wheels for speed -_-.


and weaponry, one has beam weapons, the other is still using live ammo.

yes i suppose it could be put that way...ah 3rd ep's out. Hm, your rite they were professional soldiers. But the fight with acre and their comments about seem to suggest that Gundams are far superior and if we have any argument about skills, the diffference in technology makes up for it.

I dunno, Kira only struggled against Shin, and that's when he studied on exactly how to beat him for days in preparation for the fight.

mostly at other times when Kira gained enough experience, (remember that he started as a complete novice but killed someone who's considered an Ace pilot, aka Miguel, RIP), basically as he gains experience he starts to pwn all the mass infantry/ foot soilders.

Especially after he got the Freedom, he basically just killed everything, or not, lol. I would assume that the Gundam Miesters have trained rigoriously for their now commenced operation, so it's only to be expected that they do so well against regular armies.

Besides Shinn wasted Kira only because Kira was mainly trying to get back to the Arc angel to defend it

Back on topic, eventually I think the Gundams will get their butts kicked. Cuz they say they're united the world by making themselves the common enemy. So that what makes me so interested with this series
