Guys I have a quick question, I downloaded the beta 4.5 and everything is in there except the shortcut, shortcut is no where to be seen. Should I just download again?

edit:::::::::::: Nvm I figured it out.

edit again:::::::: Okay that video did not help me, nor do the instructions. I have worked with mods before and this baffles me. There is no exe file in the downloaded version that I have. So I'm pretty sure thats why mine isn't working.

edit 3:::::Nvm got it working.

I will wait for the final and full version of this mod, he should make automatic installation of the mod something like that for dummies like me.

So I'm just going to post this here..
At first I had a lot of problems with getting this to work. I had installed this mod a few times before so I didn't really need the installation instructions.

I use Windows 7 64-bit and a legit copy of BFME2 Collector's Edition.

I first put the SEE folder in:
C:\Users\Jokuc\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files\

Then I changed the paths of the shortcut:
Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod SEE
Start In: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\"

But when I tried to launch the game, I got a game.dat error even though I did everything correctly.
I have no idea why this happened, but after a bunch of tries I came up with a solution.

Instad of putting the SEE folder in
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth™ II Files\
I simply put it in C:\ so the directory looked like this:
C:\SEE\

Then I changed the target path on the shortcut from SEE to "C:\SEE" (when you use a full directory you need to put the path inside " ") so it looked like this:
Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"

And it worked!

And since so many prople are having trouble with this I created an installation file, an .exe launcher and a Readme (.txt) on how use them.

The setup will automatically install the game on the C:\ drive and the Launcher will launch the mod, obviously. They should work for Windows Vista and 7.

Here is what they look like:

Here is a download to just the Setup, Launcher and Readme file if you already got the SEE folder. There are two Setups, if the 64-bit one does not work, try the 32-bit one.

Put the SEE folder and the EnglishSplash.png on your desktop before running these. (which you got from the RAR file when you downloaded SEE)

I would upload a RAR with the Setup, Launcher, Readme, Splash and SEE folder, which would make everything much easier, but my internet is terribly slow.

If anyone is interested, here are the codes for the two files:
